Please take note of paragraph 26 and 29.

I was given this to read at about eight years of age.

Unsilenced: I don't suppose you happen to have a copy or know where there is a full copy available online? There are some specific parts I would like to check out.

I have 7 year twins & a 9 year old I would never let them read that,it's way too much for them to comprehend. I know religion is important to some people but they should know at what ages they can handle it.

I was given the same book to read and I guess it could be a form of control. Not necessarily abuse but definitely not healthy for a young mind to believe as truth. Unfortunately alot of things the JW's teach their kids and adults is , in my opinion, tantamount to brainwashing.

Your parents are Jehovah's Witnesses, are they not? Yes, they are...so what did you think you'd be reading? If you no longer follow the JW, you've made a choice. So get on with it and go read the Old Testament of the Bible...that too is a joy for children. Maybe you can blame someone on that too!

i have mixed feelings re this passage i know that this is a form of brainwashing to try to keep the children in line; but once they become teenagers most of the time they start straying away and most of them leave the jw org.

I believe it is wrong to scare very young children with too much info inappropriate for their age, like we can see here.

I think that it needs to be addressed and talked about too.

Email me sometime lol

Take care, God bless

That is sick.

I am so sorry that this happened to you. Don't do what I did and decide that god is not real just because some of the things religion told you were lies.

Love and blessings Don

They still give that book out. I remember when It came out. Brainwashing starts young...And they criticize Christians for the Hell doctrine...sheesh!

No, because religion is except from child endangerment charges. Look it up and read it yourself.
