Atheists say that there is no such thing as the supernatural. If that's true, how do you explain how physic powers have been shown in scientific experiments?

Take this one experiment where there were two people in two seperate rooms that were completely isolated. There was a computer in each room. The computers would show one of three possible images randomly at one time.

Person B would have to guess if the image shown on HIS computer was the SAME image as the computer shown on person A. He answered by saying Yes or No.

Then they would switch and have Person A do the guessing.

Guess what happened? The people were correct FIFTY percent of the time which is not suprising since the only answers were Yes and No.

But guess what? WHEN Computer A had the SAME random image as Computer B, then each person guessed correctly 70 PERCENT of the time.

This experiment was repeated 1,000 times exactly.

77 percent accuracy. How do you explain that?

disillusioned with Christianity because they all believe different things and contradict the bible. All my friends that are fundamentalists say bad things about the Mormons, but my Mormon friends always say nice things about the Christians. I am really beginning to understanding true Christianity from the Mormons because they are not judgmental.

If you are a Christian and someone - say a Jehovah's Witness - tries to witness to you, do you wonder why they are trying to witness to you?? I mean, do Jehovah's witnesses think they have something that you may be missing in terms of salvation or are they just trying to make sure no one slips under the radar?

According to the New Testament writers, they charged the Jews with having crucified Jesus. The Jews tried and convicted Him, but it was the Romans who carried out their orders. What's your belief on this issue?

Situation: A man went before the parole board a couple days ago and, fortunately, was turned down flat. He was in for the kidnap, rape, sodomy, and attempted murder of a childhood friend of mine. One of the main reasons he was turned down for parole is that he has never shown any remorse at all for what he did to her. To make matters worse, this piece of human filth is distantly related to me.
Problem: If he had been released, he would eventually have ran into me. I really don't think he would survive meeting me face to face. I can honestly say I hate this person with every ounce of my being, and would snap his neck in a second, even though I know it would be wrong for me to do so.
What can a person do to get past pure unadulterated hatred? Is it possible? Would it even be right to try not to hate such a cold blooded animal?

Can anyone who is a practicing witch but NOT wiccan tell me a bit about their beliefs and/or practices?

I have never met a wiccan who wasn't very beligerant and condescending and also to be honest I am not much into religion period.
However I do have "witch" tendancies but wondering where my beliefs, well those specifically fall in with other peoples spirituality and/or beliefs.

Is there anyone else out there who is a witch but not wiccan?

If it was wrong would you even have to try and prove it, why not just stand back and roll your eyes and think how silly everyone was.

When I was fifteen years old, I ran away from home. Now, I don't recommend this to anyone, but, I was brought up in a fine Christian home. A "Mommie Dearest" meets "American Psycho" Christian home. And there came a point in time when I realized, against my own heartfelt feelings, that if I did not leave that home, I would surely die soon. So I ran away. Now, 15 year old kids don't usually fare very well on the street, but I met a lady named Pat. She was a an elderly lady. She saw me on the street and offered to buy me lunch. I ate. She asked if I had a place. I said no. She said "come with me". I did. She gave me a free place to live, and her house was full of witches. Some hated me, because I was young and cute, some didn't acknowledge my existence, but most of them showed me a tender kindness I had never known before, and rarely since. I stayed in that house for a while, and learned the tarot, how to cast spells, how to love, but , then I started to drift. I forgot about this love.

for answering my questions, and that is simply what they were. I wasnt trying to be an awhole i was just wanting some answers to questions that i have had for a while.
To make this a question though so people dont get mad at me, why is it that people get angry with each other when a question is asked? unless it is something that is meant to offend people. Which is not what most of these questions are meant that people ask on here
