..........other people don't believe in your god? Obviously this question isn't only directed towards Christians.

Now I'm not asking if you're offended if an atheist attacks you saying your god doesn't exist, but are you offended at just their denial of belief?

I live in Australia & have heard in news lately that 'creationism' is being introduced into a large percentage of USA schools.
Is this true? If so, is it a blatant oppression of other than Christian beliefs? Is this the reason behind it?
There has been talk of bringing it in into some Aussie schools too. I am past school age myself, just interested in others opinions on this.
My own beliefs are other than Christian & think it would be detrimental to wipe out other belief systems.

The Prophet was described as being a mercy in the Quran due to the message he brought for humanity:

“And We have not sent you but as a mercy to all the worlds.” (Quran 21:107)

When a person analyzes the legislations of Islam with an open mind, the Mercy mentioned in this verse will definitely become apparent. One of the aspects constituting an epitome of this Mercy is the way the legislations of Islam deal with people of other faiths. The tolerant attitude of Islam towards non-Muslims, whether they be those residing in their own countries or within the Muslim lands, can be clearly seen through a study of history. This fact is not only purported by Muslims, but many non-Muslim historians also accept it. Patriarch Ghaytho wrote:

‘The Arabs, to whom the Lord has given control over the world, treat us as you know; they are not the enemies of Christians. Indeed, they praise our community, and treat our priests and saints with dignity, and offer aid to churches and monasteries.’[1]

Will Durant wrote:

‘At the time of the Umayyad caliphate, the people of the covenant, Christians, Zoroastrians, Jews, and Sabians, all enjoyed degree of tolerance that we do not find even today in Christian countries. They were free to practice the rituals of their religion and their churches and temples were preserved. They enjoyed autonomy in that they were subject to the religious laws of the scholars and judges.’[2]

These just relations between Muslims and people of other faiths were not due to mere politics played by Muslim rulers, but rather they were a direct result of the teachings of the religion of Islam, one which preaches that people of other religions be free to practice their own faith, only accepting the guidance offered by Islam by their own choice. God says in the Quran:

“There is no compulsion in religion…” (Quran 2:256)

Not only does Islam demand their freedom to practice religion, but also that they be treated justly as any other fellow human. Warning against any abuse of non-Muslims in an Islamic society, the Prophet stated:

“Beware! Whoever is cruel and hard on a non-Muslim minority, curtails their rights, burdens them with more than they can bear, or takes anything from them against their free will; I (Prophet Muhammad) will complain against the person on the Day of Judgment.” (Abu Dawud)

How far is this mannerism than the majority of nations, to this day, which not only suppress the rights of foreign religions, but also foreign peoples and races! In a time when Muslims were being tortured to death in then pagan Mecca, Jews were being persecuted in Christian Europe, and various peoples were being subjugated due to their particular race or caste, Islam called to the just treatment of all peoples and religions, due to its merciful tenets which gave humanity the right to their humanness.

I am a Christion, and I know there is a lot I do not know,and will
never know until I die and meet My Lord but there is so much
scientific evadence that shows the earth to be millions or
perhaps trillion of years old. The bible says in gen. chapter one
In the begining God Created the earth . I believe God created
the earth millions of years ago and made huge dinasaurs on it.
over time perhaps a few million years HE SENT a large
mitior and it throw the earth off its axis. in which resulted in the
big freeze. By freezing the dinosaurs and perserving them for
millions of years is where we get all of our fossell fuels.
when God knew the time was right,then he made the earth as
we know it. God exsisted a long time before He ever made the
earth. p.s please forgive me on all my misspellings.

there is a potato wasp that can only lay eggs in a potato. The larvae eat the pulp and then, when mature fly to another potato to start the cycle over. It can't live in North America but it keeps potatoes from taking over South America. The gist was that God planned for every creature its place so evolution is wrong. Can anyone tell me why God created the mosquito?

Suppose you are driving your car and you see an attractive person of the opposite sex walking down the street. You crane your neck to get a better look and run into an oncoming car. You have no time to repent of your sin (of lust). You die instantly...

Many Christians believe that if they have not asked for the forgiveness of ALL of their sins, they risk dying and going to hell. They are in a constant state of uneasiness. In the above scenario, they believe that the person killed would go to hell because of the "unforgiven" sin of lust leading up to the wreck. What kind of relationship with Christ does this way of thinking lead to? Fear? Endless guilt?

Why not accept the fact that when you are born again, ALL of your sins are forgiven in God's eyes. (Please read the verse above again.)

so muslims believe only in God.. as well as the Jews yet jews are waiting for the son of god and muslims arent. But christians have the son of God and God... Isnt that more fullfiling? when other relgions dont even believe in God.

I got a question for mormons because I'm curious about this...I saw some documentary on Mormonism that said that Mormons believe God was Jesus' physical father, and that he came down to Earth from Kolob to sex up Mary and give her a baby boy.

This fleshy god-man impregnated a 13 year old girl...is this correct?

The majority of the people here are American and Christian.

Americans are known worldwide to be stupid and somehow arrogant at the same time.

Christians (the creationist fundy types) are known to be quite delusional and set their beliefs up so that no amount of proof will convince them out of their delusions and they also think that a Sky Daddy's son loves them and died for them.

We are also using an informal tool (the internet) to try to prove points to them. The internet is home to porn and conspiracy theories. It is not be trusted, even in open forums such at these in any circumstance. So why should anyone take anything serious?


What are we doing here if we can't convince anyone? Is this supposed be a colossal masochistic waste of time?
