All divorcees who divorced for reason other than adultery should be considered the same as a Homosexual trying to get married in the Church. ....

If Christians do not follow this then this is PROOF they really dont believe it to be the absolute Divine word of GOD.

I know that there are very few things God will not forgive you for. Suicide is one of the things that he doesn't forgive. Is there anything else?

Nonbelievers, what will you do if you're wrong and it turns out that there really are leprechauns at the end of rainbows?

All the believers will go to the end of the rainbow and steal the leprechauns' pots of gold. Those who don't believer will be left home and will not get any gold.

It can't be too far to walk to the end of the rainbow. Don't you nonbelievers think you should at least try to walk there, even though rainbows don't have ends?

I've heard many people make the statement that you can not be gay and a Christian at the same time. This makes me wonder, why? What about homosexuality sets it apart from the rest of the sins? Why is it that a murderer, pathological liar, or any other human who habitually commits sin as we ALL do; can be saved; but someone who accepts Christ as their savior and happens to be homosexual is immediately downgraded and labeled wicked?

If heaven is the home of God, do you think that he has the right to choose who will or won't go there? Or do you feel that anyone has the right to go there, even if they will not give God the respect due him?

To put it into a different twist to this question...let's say for a minute that there are only two places to journey in the universe...you have the most fantastic home ever designed, and everyone wants to end up there, because the alternative is truly horrific. How would you feel if everyone (good and bad) who came to your door demanded to come in, even if they were not willing to respect you?

So, using that concept, do you think that God has the right to choose who will or won't spend time with him in eternity?

Or should he have no right to refuse anyone?

Someone asked earlier 'what religion are you?' Simple, innocuous question. But almost all of the answers received numerous thumbs down. What is your 'read' on the quality of answers given? Some answers were Christian, some Hindu or Muslim, some atheistic,,,,a real cross section of folks. Who hates others enough to be this ugly?

Exodus 21:20
If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his proptery...
end quote???????????????

It can be translated as saying:
Buying and selling slaves is fines
beating slaves is fine, Slaves are to show entire and true fidlety.

This is repulsive. How can anyone possibly rationalize this horrific and dispectable verse?

Something that you prayed for or something that happened that could only have been a miracle. Many people will deny that you had a miracle, but don't let your feelings be hurt. One person's miracle is another's hope.

Galatians 6
Doing Good to All
1Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. 2Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, 5for each one should carry his own load.
6Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor.

7Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature[a]will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Well God is all-powerful right? And all knowing? Well if he were all knowing then 1/3 of the angels would have never rebelled, that's a fact, because if he were all powerful he would just make them all vanish, or better yet! Since he is also all loving he would have just changed their minds into believing what he wanted instead of creating a pit that he knew (because he's all knowing) most people would spend eternity in, burning over and over again. The flood was also pointless; he killed all the plants, animals, and people for what? The humans weren't acting right? What a control freak! And he unnecessarily killed all those other animals, plants, and people. He is ALL-POWERFUL; he could have just magically changed their minds, like he magically sent the water to kill every living thing except for a boat full of people that would then incest us to our current population.

what does it really mean. We are invited to sit on the throne of God by the mouth of Jesus in the book of revelation. I think the odds of overcoming all things in inconclusive that anyone can obtain this ultimate promise because overcoming all things also means overcoming death and death was the last thing Jesus had to overcome

He was whipped with a barbed lash, had a crown of thorns shoved on his head, impaled by a spear, and hung on a cross, according to the Bible. But his life before that didn't appear to be too terribly rough. I hear stories all the time about people being tortured and mutilated their entire lives. So what's the big deal?
