Tithing is to help spread Gods word . Find a mission that truly preaches the word of God and send it to them . The U S dollar is losing it's value so it takes a little more to keep pace with the world . Hebrews 10:25

I wonder why you have no church home? Usually people who are willing to part with their money for God, are well established in a local fellowship. Perhaps you might support a charity with your tithe until you join with local worshipers, or just save it up until that time. God's instruction is for all to bring the tithes into the storehouse......this supports the church (and all that entails) as well as reaching out in ministry to the community and the world. This is God's plan fro receiving tithes and offerings and has never changed.

In a situation like that, I'd give my tithe weekly to whatever church I was attending at the time, or else to a missionary/Bible organization, or to a health or childcare charity. Check out any such organization to make sure they are legit before sending them your money! The vast majority of monies received should benefit the kids/animals/environment, etc. and not be going for administration, fundraising, etc.

Some people tithe to my Pastor's radio ministry because they don't have a church home. My Pastor doesn't encourage them to do that because he teaches that every Christian should be connected with the body of Christ in a Bible teaching, Christ honoring, Spirit led assembly of believers.
But it is one way for people who are "in transition" and who are being "fed the bread of the word" to support the Kingdom of Christ while they are looking for a church home.
Here's a link to where you can listen to a variety of preaching that you might want to support http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/
If you are curious to hear my Pastor preach, his link on that site is this one http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/Enduring_Truth/archives.asp

Look around your community. There's plenty of people that need help, work that needs doing or funding.
Jesus taught that helping the poor, te sick, and so on is the same as if you helped Him. And he DID NOT say that that is restricted to "Christians."
Look at Jimmy Carter--he found a need--better housing and a chance of home ownership for poor families. And set out to find ways to meet that need. THAT'S following Christ.

You could use your "tithe" to do good for others. Doesn't the Bible say if you do for the least of these you do for God Himself?

You could give to United Way. Many companies make that easy through payroll deduction. United Way serves hundreds of worthy charities and allows you to choose which will get you donations if you want to be selective.
