Ok, some people have misunderstood my question about the eye, they use the argument that it is not perfect, lets leave that aside, the question is how did it even get there, because you cant have the eye without all its parts and it is not natural selection because to get the eyes parts, you need to add new information in the DNA and natural selection is not able to do so, let me quote from colin patterson

"No one has ever produced a species by mechanisms of natural selection.
No one has ever got near it and most of the current argument in neo-Darwinism
is about this question.13"

And we know that mutation is not responsible because mutation does not add new stuff but rather replaces or breaks the DNA molecules, so far no good mutation has been experimented, it all leads to bad things, so how can mutation bring about the eye, or the feather of a bird from the scales of reptiles or the wings of bird from the dinosaurs that were trying to catch flies???

How you will react if today somebody claims to be the latest (and last) messenger of God, in the lineage of Adam, Abraham, Jesus and Mohamed. Claims that Jews, Christians and Muslims all have fallen off the correct path. Calls his religion "The (God's) way", calls the followers as "Goples (short forGod's people). Claims that every body from Adam till date including Abraham, Jesus and Mohamed has been "Gople", practiced "the way". Claims that this earth has been given by lord to the followers of "the way" only. Others have full freedom to revert to "the way" or stick to their separate belief as second class citizens. Claims that all are borne Goples but they are corrupted by other worldly forces into false religions. And ask for every body to return to "the way". OR ELSE ..... Sounds familiar ? God clearly made a massive mistake with his creation of Lucifer, who is a perfect being, that was tainted by evil. Clearly the being was not perfect since it was tainted by evil and turned evil. He was susceptible to turning evil. For some reason that doesn't scream perfection to me.

According to Darwin himself, any complex organ that could not have formed by chance and slight modification would break his theory apart:

A good example of a complex organ is the eyes, which cannot form by slight modifications, it has to have all of its parts to function or it will be useless?

My sister and her husband are having a baby, and I want to get them a gift. Here's the thing: They're Jewish. I'm not. I have been a born-again Christian for many years. By nature, I am a rather high-strung, nervous individual. I would like to learn to be more peaceful and tranquil--refer to Philippians 4:6-7. I do have peace for my eternal security, but everyday stresses of marriage and children sometimes suck the joy and peace from my life. My question is this: I am considering a taking a yoga/meditation class. Would this be acceptable to God? I would not want to do anything displeasing to him, and I'm not sure of the origins, principles, etc. behind yoga. God says, "be still and know that I am God." I am thinking that yoga would perhaps help me to learn to "be still". Do you think taking a yoga class is wrong for a Christian?

Do any of you atheists think that you are actually making people think more about the pitfalls of organized religion by preaching to the converted? Are you just further polarizing the endless religious debate by making fun of something that people take really seriously?
