It was bible study that, in part, made me an atheist.
It's come up here regularly. There are a lot of people who have reported that, when they *really* read the bible.for themselves, decided the one thing it wasn't was divine and inerrant.

why do you eat regularly to stimulate and nourish your body..
same reason you read the word for spiritual growth..
