The bible is equal to the book of scientology with one difference; one was written over 1600 years ago and one was written less than 50 years ago. But they are equally ludicrous.

Christians, I know you disagree, that's why I am not asking you. I am asking those that can make choices based on facts and not "faith."

President Bush just vetoed a bill to help poor children.
Ezekiel 16:49
Behold this was the sin of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness... and she did not strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

Oh uh... looks like the sacred mysteries of the mind (aka soul) are starting to fade!!

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,299456,00.html

So, if my video game console knows what I'm thinking, and knows how focused I am, or if I'm bored... does that mean my pastor lied to me when I was little, when he said only God knows what I'm thinking?

More importantly... when our understanding of the brain gets to the point where we understand almost all of the cause & effect relationships... what room is going to be left for the soul? How are we going to squeeze "free will" or spiritual accountability into a body that follows the laws of physics?

I'm confused about the purpose of prayer.

What reason does God have to listen to me if He already knows what is best for me and everyone else in the universe?

why cant they just keep reading their bibleS?...there are soooo many editions that one wonders who a cristian can have time to say 'i have read about islam' and then give all bull about it just to make their religion look superior...where as if u compare the original bible with the islamic book ..the later is much more superior and the bible shows proof of canablism, terrorism , brutal punishments and what not!!....so we can easliy see how insecure they are of their religion 1st for changing the real text of their bible and secong for throwing sh!t on every single religion and belief!!.....ok christians ..take it easy n count to 10........

This is NOT a joke. LET'S CREATE A GOD!!!

The first thing is to assume that there is no God yet (just hear me out, you won't go to Hell for considering an idea). The next thing we will need to do is define the "Technological Singularity."

The theory of the Technological Singularity states that at some point in the progress of technology, we will be able to create artificial intelligences that are capable of making themselves smarter and smarter exponentially until we as humans no longer have the ability to meaningfully participate in the scientific advancement of the human race.

All mature Christians go through spiritual dry spells, those "desert" times. What do you generally do when that happens? Wait them out? Or pray more? Talk to friends?

And when it's over, do you analyze why it happened in the first place? If so, what were your conclusions?

I am glad that there are non-believers on this site. I believe that they are searching. Although they will LOUDLY protest this notion. I do not feel that they are truly "non-believers" or why would they have such an interest in what we are saying?

If Satan lives in this fiery place called Hell then why is he called ''The Morning Star"?
That should suggest that he lives in the sky wouldn't it?

And if God is known as Alpha & Omega, (the begining and the end), Don't you find it strange that Satan has this same name?

A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast; but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
Proverbs 12:10

How does this apply to rodeos, circuses, test labs, slaughter houses, etc.?

The Three wise men followed a star to where baby Jesus was born Huh?
They must not have been too wise, As everyone knows you cannot follow a star. The more you walk closser to it the farther away it gets.
So they could not have been that wise unless they misinterpreted it for a UFO. As Ezekiel was taken up by one he mention of being taken in a Golden Chariot thingy into the heavens, so he claimed.
So how do you explain this one, huh?
I mean this with the utmost respect.

Why do you have to fear him?
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27-1.
This verse also is a reputition of the same thing.
And I thought you said the Bible does not do this,
Funny how that works out huh?
