the three king in the nativity, represent in the real wold the three stars of Orion's belt, the son of god ( jesus) represents the sun, the giver of life, the creator, for without the sun life on earth would not exist. I have spent the last two years believing that Jesus probably did not exist, it is only lately that I have been leaning more to the possibility that he could have actually been a real person. This is one theory anway; Jesus did not start his mission until the age of 30, this was after he had been Baptised by John ( the Baptist), John was later executed, then Jesus starts his mission, thus it is probable that Jesus just arried on the work of JohnTB, for it was written that he held John in high regard. It was only after the, supposed Cricifiction, of Jesus that we start to hear from Saul of Tarsus, he was not a member of the Apostles or a deciple, he was actually not accepted by the Apostles at first, for his view and supposed conversations concerning the divinity of Christ. The Aposltes only took him thanx to the help of Barnabas. His relationship with Barnabas dteriorated and they went their seperate ways, this was because Paul was preaching the word of Jesus as the son of God, where as Barnabas, a man of whom had close relationship with Jesus, preached him as a saviour Prophet of Judaism. St Pauls lies became truth, thus they had to invent an mystical childhood and birth for their new God, thus they plagiarised the Pagan myths and the Egyptian 'Book of the Dead'. So in doing this the three kings were representations of the Pagan winter solstice, involving the movements of the sun and the consequent shifts in the zodiac. The Nativity scenario is just an adaptation of many different Pagan stories, like the story of, Osiris. for example, there are several other religions that share the same story. that is a fact that the Christians hide from, the truth is the divinity of Jesus is the brain child of one St Paul, someone who didn't even meet Jesus.

This particular star was an angel. And the angel reappeared when the wise men came near, for they showed up quite some time AFTER the birth of Jesus, and the context shows he and parents were now in a house.
And nothing says there were three wise men.

The so-called Three Wise Men were not, of course, Christians. They may have been Jews or have come from any other religion. The Three Wise Men were early astronomers and they may have regarded the bright star as a herald of very good news. They offered (albeit impromptu) what they had (namely gold, frankincense and myrrh) as gifts to the newly-born Jesus.

Actually, there were four wise men, but the fourth brought a fruit cake and was sent home. Some Bible stories are just that-colorful embellishments to add the 'gee whiz' effect. I'm a Bible student at college and don't have all the answers, but there's so much fact and wonder in that great book that it should be read with prayer and discernment, not skepticism. Best wishes.

The star did not lead them to Jesus. The star lead them to Herod first. This so called "star" was a bright moving object in the sky created by something supernatural. But why would it lead them to Herod first knowing that he wanted to kill Jesus? Also, the God of the Heavens condemns the use of stars to predict the future; why would He use these three astrologers to visit his son. Go along this line, and you will figure the source of the star.

There is people that search for the truth. You are not one of them or have no interest. They are the people that most people respect when they come across one. They speak words of wisdom, while you speak here like a fool, no offence.
Before you ask anything you must understand what you are asking first. If not you will be seen like a fool to the wise.

And if they were on the other side of where he was born they would have gone off in the totally wrong direction.
This was back in the day when they thought the stars were pasted on a big dome, in which case maybe a star really could have been directly above something but we all know this is a lot of hooey, as is most mythology.

they were astrologers from the Orient, and the fact that the 'star' moved along, intelligently leading them, signifies that this was an apparition provided by Satan. Satan first led them to King Herod, who was agitated and wanted to kill the baby boy whom he thought would eventually oppose him for the throne-ship. God then warned the step-father Joseph to take Mary and the infant child to Egypt until Herod died.
