Yes I am the accomplice, and yes, I know it wasn't nice but please, PLEASE remain calm and assertive. (Those who want a second lick feel free to)

Although originally the task was to see which group used the most reasoning, we feel that we didn't achieve anything because people probably felt it was easier to type short slanders then explaining their beliefs in long answers and also with supporting evidence, and speaking of slanders, well, this is YA, not a science conference, so we really couldn't expect anything more :D

THEREFORE-If you had to interpet this scripture in today's culture how do you see it?
What would cause the Moon not to shine it's light? or the sun to be red darkened-How's bout a Nuclear Bomb? or an Asteroid? Didn't darkness prevail on earth when the dinos were wiped out?

""I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth—blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon will turn bloodred before that great and terrible day of the Lord arrives. And anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. There will be people on Mount Zion in Jerusalem who escape, just as the Lord has said. These will be among the survivors whom the Lord has called."

Joel 2:30-32 NLT

This theory was brought to my notice by a Christian answerer in an anwer to this question:-

If the finite cause of the universe is labeled as God. If creation theorists insist God created us, the planet, the universe because of its complexity. If the idea that we all just happened, the universe just happened, is impossible and impracticle to believe.

Can some one explain where did God come from?

He have a few brothers and sisters running individual universal ant farms of their own?

It seems christians refuse to beleive we evolved through an 8 billion year universal evolutionary process because God started it all, excuse me, intelligently designed it all.

If they refuse to believe, they just "happened," how can they suspend beleif to believe He just "happened?"

I can't star any questions - again!!

And I could go on and on... *sigh*

Thank you for your answer! :)

Have a wonderful weekend! :)

that you sound so much like other religions?

Like when an alleged contradiction is pointed out in the Bible or Koran, the response will sound exactly the same.

When asked how they know their faith is the true one, Christians and Hindus describe the same vague reasoning and feelings.

Does this make you wonder if they feel the exact same way you do?

True peace of mind, I could not find, from all the best men in the know.
Till I sat on that stump, by that big garbage dump, and heard the words of the Great Chinese Hobo.
And this is what he said,

It all began with the Devil, for he was the original assshole,
who in order to feel less an assshole, made everyone think they were asssholes,
so now we're surrounded by asssholes, who make us all feel like we're asssholes,
but one day we'll learn from some assshole, that the Universe is simply God's assshole!

End of story.

In the Lords paryer, Jesus told us to refer to God, as, "Our Father"

Wouldn't it seem prudent for us to should follow his example?

"Do you want me to die for your sins. I personally am not looking forward to being nailed to cross again. It bloody hurts."

You love and worship your god, which is fair enough, so surely you wouldn't want him to be in that sort of pain again.

But if you said "Don't do it." out of love for him there is the chance you're going to hell for an eternity of pain.

Also you're not allowed to say, "Jesus wouldn't ask. He'd just do it." Thats cheating and if you do I condemn you to have the face of a tortoise, forever.

Another Curiosity Question... Please know that this is NOT meant to be a demeaning question, but rather one of simple curiosity! :-)

For those who call yourselves "Christian"... What does that actually mean? I get the impression that you are not meaning one of the many Christian denomonations (Catholic, Methodist, etc.)

Ephesians 4:5 & 13 says one God & one faith .
Matthew 7:13 & 14 also appears to back this up.
If you can, please read these scriptues and tell me how you feel about them.

Since your gods never come right out and say "X" is the true religion and there are people who believe as strongly as you that their religion is correct, would your god say "Hey, at least you had faith in something" and let you in the pearly gates ...

Of course, this is all hypothetical since there really isn't any god at all. But I'm just curious what you all think about your version of god, and how she might deal with other religions.

Count the amount of answers which just say "Because he had to die for our sins."

This question is clearly a joke and yet Christians appear to see it as just another chance to preach.

ok i beleive in God, i can relate to him with symbols such as the cross (i do not wear one) i pray at times. i feel he is there when im in need of help and guidance etc

To me a church is symbolism of my being able to commute to him but i do not beleive in any reigion as such. i do beleive in heaven and hell and my actions will reflect on his judement of me.

is there a religious name or term to what i believe in or am i alone with this.?

thanks for your time
