ok i beleive in God, i can relate to him with symbols such as the cross (i do not wear one) i pray at times. i feel he is there when im in need of help and guidance etc

To me a church is symbolism of my being able to commute to him but i do not beleive in any reigion as such. i do beleive in heaven and hell and my actions will reflect on his judement of me.

is there a religious name or term to what i believe in or am i alone with this.?

thanks for your time

Yes, this is one of the most prominent beliefs today. It can range from spiritual, to deist, to monotheists, to agnostic.

I respect your sincerity, and if we could sit down and talk I suspect we would at least agree that each of us has a spiritual nature within us that yearns for something greater than ourselves. Centuries ago, a great philosopher called this a "God-shaped vacuum" we each have within us.

But where did this vacuum in our hearts come from? The Bible says that God put it there—and the reason He did was so that we would seek Him and come to know Him in a personal way. You and I have a soul that yearns for God; as the Bible says, God "has also set eternity in the hearts of men" (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

But the Bible tells us something else very important. It tells us there is a barrier between us and God—a barrier we cannot overcome on our own. The reason is because this barrier that separates us from God was caused by our sin. Our greatest need is to have our sins forgiven, and this is something no amount of meditation or similar practice can overcome.

Only God can erase this barrier—and this is why Jesus Christ came into the world. He was God in human flesh, sent from heaven to save us from our sins. Don't be deceived by paths that promise to unite you with God but don't deal with your sins. Instead, by faith commit your life to Jesus Christ and trust Him alone for your salvation. Only then will you discover the joy and peace you are seeking.

Religion is nothing but an attempt to make a logical and understandable explanation of what you believe about God. If you believe in God, then you have a "religion". And you expresses it in your question.

Would need more detail to put a "name" on it. But I doubt you will ever find a religion that is 100% what you believe. That is one of the reason there are so many. Each person meets God a little differently.

You are just like everyone else. Don't let them label you to the point that you feel you have to follow the label. Each individuals personal relationship with God is what is important. Honoring that relationship is your job. Religion tends to come between individuals and God. You don't need that. Let your connection with God guide you, not what people and books are telling you about God. You are in good company; there are many like you out there.

Believer has given you the most important answer to the most important question of your life. However, I would like to add that finding a group of like minded believers is very important to your spiritual growth. They will be your encouragers in your walk with the Lord. "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. " Heb. 10:25
This is walking with God, learning about Him, faithfulness and love.

I would say you are spiritual. Church is a personal thing. I think I feel a stronger connection with God when I am in Church, but everyone has their own personal relationship with God.

Of course it is! I feel exactly the same way. I used to be Catholic but converted to Christianity. Later on in life I found that all these religions arent exactly pointless. Whichever one brings you closest to God is the right one for you. Religions are just guides to God. As I have learned, I am guided to God by Love, Earth, and the spirit. Catholicism never guided me to God. Christianity guided me to God but now Im beginning to guide myself to God. Christianity is not a religion, its a personal relationship with Jesus.

It's normal for me.
Religion is defined as man's attempt to reach out to God. But in reality, that can't help anyone. We need God to reach out to US. Fortunately, He has. Christianity is NOT a religion. It's a relationship. True, there are many Christian religions, but all they can do is point the way to that relationship.
Religion is useful, but it can't really save you.

You remind me of Karen Armstrong, author of many books including the best selling "History of God". She's British, she was born Catholic, but now after she studied Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, she just believe in God.

Google her if you want!

You need to accept Christ's free gift, His death on the cross to pay for your (and all of our) sins. I don't believe in religion either, but I do believe in a true relationship with God, Father Son and Holy Spirit.
