A Christian would say,
"What do you think?"
They tend to struggle with the whole having an original thought concept.

As said by most other people, God came to Earth and died on the cross, for the sins of everyone who has been, is, or will be on Earth.
He has already Died once, that is enough to gain eternity in Heaven , if you believe and confess with your mouth that He died for your sins, rose again on the third day, and is your Lord and Saviour, get water baptised through immersion (the way Jesus did it) and ask for God's Holy Spirit to guide you in life, you will go to Heaven. He had to be crucified as he had innocent, sinless blood- the blood that can redeem people and save them from Hell. No human can save people or substitute for Christ because we all have fallen short of His Glory..
Also, for God, the pain of dying on the cross is nothing compared to seeing people turning away from Him and willing to go to Hell for eternity.
Also, Everyone was fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. So Please don't bring down the self esteem of people by saying they would have the face of a tortoise. Also it would never happen. Keep Dreaming.
Also, i would suggest it is high time, you stop thinking of dumb scenarios and start talking about Jesus to others, because the time for his arrival is not very far...
God Bless.. :)

Any sensible person would condemn him to die upon the cross again. Ultimately we all look out for number one, and the supposed altruism we see in people is quite likely only there to flatter their own consciences. Might I remind you that depending on your school of Christianity, Jesus is a demi-God or wholly God. He can easily get over get nailed to a peice of wood, and it would ensure your salvation. However in protecting him from finite pain you jeapordise your own salvation and could in fact condemn yourself to infinite suffering in Hell. It doesn't take much thought. Pass me the hammer.

He already died. He's already paid the price for all your sins, even the ones you've yet to commit.
When he did die, he didn't ask, "do you want me to die for your sins?" No one at the time believed he was God. Those who once did were utterly discouraged.
Today, our problem is still the same – that most don't believe Jesus is God. If today He asked, "do you want me to die for your sins?" the result would still be the same. Most would ignore Him or mock Him.

It's already done. If he had asked any of us personally (Christian or otherwise), most if not all would have said "no, please don't do that".
Peter did.
"He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again. He spoke plainly about this, and Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.
But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. "Get behind me, Satan!" he said. "You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men." (Mark 8:31-33)

The only way to pretty much go to heaven is to believe he really died for your sins. Most people think that if there a good person or something they wont go to hell.. WRONG. But Jesus died on the cross just for us so we dont half to burn a animal every time we sin. Basicly the only way to go to heaven is to believe he died on the cross. And also what makes him happy is to obey the bible if you want to go the extra mile. And um.. he already died for us he doesn't half to again.

Before you curse me and my turtle-faced friends, the cross was the only way for salvation of the world to work. The forgiveness of all sin was made possible with His one sacrifice. I do love Him, but love tends to be more of a commitment than a feeling. One may not always feel in love, but they stay committed to their wife of ten years.
Also, "nailed to (the ) cross again" ?? It was a one time thing. He does not have to do it over and over again for every time you sin.

What your referring to is the Atonement. Jesus did hesitate on the cross and asked his Father to take this bitter cup from him. But God and Jesus knew what needed to be done. So God let his only begotten son be killed so the plan of salvation could come to pass.

Well, Jesus did it not because I asked Him to, but because our Heavenly Father asked Him to. And yes, He wasn't looking forward to it, but He still did the Father's will.
Do I still get the eternal tortoise face?

He already died for my sins. And that sounds silly of Jesus to say it "bloody hurts". Jesus is smarter than that. When I see Jesus I expect him to not have the grammar of a 4th grader.
