that you sound so much like other religions?

Like when an alleged contradiction is pointed out in the Bible or Koran, the response will sound exactly the same.

When asked how they know their faith is the true one, Christians and Hindus describe the same vague reasoning and feelings.

Does this make you wonder if they feel the exact same way you do?

Does it bother you brother?

I beleive what I beleive in !
I do not compare my religion to yours or the next any more than I weigh my faith in Jesus Christ or my higher powers to yours or the person standing next to me in line at the corner store !

We all have our reason for feeling what we do and beleiving in religion or not.
I'm no more a salesman for God than I am a critic for any other religion around me.

Of course there are similarities in all man religions my friend - daa.
At some point way back in time there was only one man and one woman too - go figure...

So it only stands to reason doesn't it that as we developed reigion along the way and spread out over the world the word of "GOD" would change yet remain the same!

Oh ya I'm going to hear from all the religeous freaks now I know !! But there it is folks :)

Yes, it bothers me that so many of us Christians do not know how to testify for about Whom Jesus said He was, "The way, the truth and the life." We almost always give a very subjective witness, using just our life experience as the reason. As good as that is, we should not limit our witness to what convinced us, a life-changing experience or experiences, for the benefit of others.

Objective witness is just as important, if not in some circumstances, even more so. This may take the form of some miraculous event, such as when two people got healed, one from Leukemia, and the other from HIV/AIDS, after I witnessed to them and prayed for their healing. Of course, this is not your most conventional example, but remember that this is what Jesus did in order to encourage others to listen to Him. Shouldn't we do the same; pray for miracles to occur? That is, do the works that He did described in the Gospels?

OK, but what I mostly mean by an objective witness is to challenge anothers' intellect concerning topics like: the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus, the accuracy of the books of the Bible in comparison to the earliest writings of them that we have at our disposal (i.e., the book of Isaiah from the Dead Sea Scrolls), and then contrast this with the oldest popular literature, such as Homer's Iliad and the Odessey, and the Quran.

How does one find out about such information? There are many books out on apologetics and the evidence for one's faith. I found the best to be C S Lewis's "Mere Christianity" and Josh McDowell's "Evidence That Demands a Verdict" series.

Well, Muslims have the next book in the series, but then, so do the Mormons. I personally think the Bible was tied up nicely with Revelations and God going batshiat, but someone's always got to come along and make a sequel.

I know they do.
Doesn't matter. In the end we'll know.

What will you do when faced with the end? Smirk?

There's a reason for cliches like There are no atheists in foxholes.
Because your life is relatively easy, you find it easy to dismiss the idea of a higher power. This has always been true. Man seeks justice when oppressed, food when hungry, water when thirsty, and nothing when wealthy.

Whether G-d turns out to be Hindi or VooDoo or something else, I believe he will reward the pure of heart. It's hard to grasp, but I'm working on it, myself.

Christianity forces itself, in the U. S., to a place of ridicule by attempting to make regulations that are consistent with their faith, ignoring all different factors of view, and pushing their religious doctrine into public colleges as though it have been actuality relatively of religion. I have not have been given any concern with Christians believing what they like, as long as they shop that theory to themselves. the concern is that a stable form of Christians do no longer. As such, I also have a awesome to wrestle the spreading of propoganda with good judgment and reason.

It does make me wonder how they feel. However, I will say the same thing you've probably heard time and time again. I know that I know that Christ is my savior. I doubt that believers in other religions have the same "assurance" that I do. My loving response to unbelievers remains the same...Please search out God, and God in Christ and join me in Heaven for eternity.

It don't make me wonder anything, for when I face God some day, it wont be about anyone El's but me and what i have believed in and how I lived my life, not any one Else's life. The same with you, you will be the only one facing God on that day for the way you lived, and who you believed in, so I would not worry about any thing El's but where you stand in the sight of God.

No, it doesn't bother us at all, dear one. We know our salvation is secure in Jesus. And no, we don't wonder if Hindus feel the same way we do. *grin* Truthfully, that thought has NEVER crossed my mind.

God bless!

It shouldn't be based on feelings but conviction. Christianity is about the forgiveness of sins, the bad stuff that keeps us distant from God. It is due to our own rebellion and selfish nature that we don't want to please the Lord but please ourselves, and each one of us has become our own personal lords.
Christians, like everyone else, are people. People are stupid and they mess up. But thanks to God for accepting us, all of us, despite our stupidity.
