Personally I believe in both. Our awesome God created us to evolve so we could thrive in our environment? To roll with the punches so to speak.

Religion answers 3 basic questions;1. where did we come from? 2. why are we here? 3.where are we going?
Evolution tries to answer the same 3 questions.Evolution is a faith in an unproven theory.A theory that has been around for many centuries. There is overwhelming evidence for the existance of God,Also there is very much evidence for creation and a worldwide flood.Do you know that at one time the climate was worldwide moderate? How do you explain the fossils of tropical plants in polar regions? Also in artic regions the remains of elephants and mammoths have been found. In Siberia alone at least 50,000 mammoths have been found. They have a major ivory export of mammoth tusks.

the theory of evolution is partially disproved by Darwin himself in his bood, The Origin of Species. in the book, Darwin states that if evolution did indeed 'exist' there should be many different stages, not just a few. he states that there should be much more than actually exists.

for us to evolve from monkeys, for example, the would have to be so many more stages inbetween the chimp and us. if we did evolve, how did we become the only species in the world that has a complicated communication system, can design art and buildings, and such. true there are some species who have some variations of these, but it is unrefutable that humans are the dominant of all species. so if we evolved, why is there such a big gap between us and anything else in the world? and thats just with humans. the only thing that makes sense is that we are a the design from some intelligent creator.

Your question should be Creation or Evolution. Religion is too broad of a term with too many definitions.
I do not just believe but I know that we were created in the image of God. We are too complex to have evolved. Even Darwin considered the fact that if it was discovered that life was too complex to have evolved then that would disprove his theory. That was before electron microscopes that show just how complex life is. Darwin could never had imagined.
Which is easier to create? A Ford truck or a Cow. No one would ever consider that somehow over millions of years a truck could evolve from rock, but that exactly what evolutionist believe about life.

I believe in the biblical account of creation. Here's a reason why:

The theory of evolution was proposed by those who were secular humanists, and who wanted to get rid of a belief in God. The two ideas, creation and evolution, are mutually exclusive. They cannot coexist. If you believe in the biblical account of creation, then you cannot believe that the Earth has been around for millions of years.

There are those who postulate that you can mix the two, and have attempted to do so by employing "theistic evolution," where God put the parts in place and let them spin together over millions/billions of years. Others propose a "gap" theory, where in Genesis 1:1, the earth was created, but in Genesis 1:2, God judged that earth, and recreated it in Genesis 1:3, hoping that the time frame matches the scientific theory. Others will ask, "How long was a day during creation?" hoping that the answer is millions of years long each.

Because there are no witnesses to what occurred during creation, anything that man comes up with is a theory, and unable to be proven through a scientific process, which requires the scientific method.

The scientific method requires:

# 1. Observe some aspect of the universe.

# 2. Invent a tentative description, called a hypothesis, that is consistent with what you have observed.

# 3. Use the hypothesis to make predictions.

# 4. Test those predictions by experiments or further observations and modify the hypothesis in the light of your results.

# 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until there are no discrepancies between theory and experiment and/or observation.

But this is supposed to be based on observable facts. Evolution cannot achieve this using the traditional scientific method. What does that leave?

Faith. Just like those he criticizes for following myths, the evolutionist is practicing his faith. The evolutionist believes in the theory. They have their own scriptures, and apologea. And woe unto those who knowingly or unknowing tread on "holy" ground. They'll eat you alive. You'd think for all their vitriol, that you were in a church full of hypocrites.

First, Darwin had nothing to do with the Big Bang. Second, religion and evolution aren't mutually exclusive. Third, I have faith in neither, I accept evolution because of the mountains of evidence (literally and figuratively).

No, it's Creation or Evolution.

Evolution is a religion.

God calls us into a relationship, not a religion.

Jesus called the most religious people of His day "Hypocrites" and He said we should not be like them.
Religion is when God says something very clearly and man decides God has not said enough and adds his own rules, regulations and requirements.

Either believe God or don't believe God, that is the root of the entire debate. Those who accept Evolution as the explanation for the existence of all things simply do not believe God. I believe God who says that He is the beginning of all things. You cannot say you believe God and Evolution. That is being hypocritical (religious).

Thanks for the thoughtful question.

God bless you.

Very nice question. This one of the most debated question even today. Well, from facts if you have read Darwins works,
you can see he says anything can be something and become something else after, but it was changed?

for example he said that even a none living being can become living beings? can't see how that is possible.

I trully belive that humans came from Adam and Eve, by God
Peace be upon them both. It makes more scence. I don't agree with the Bible on the timing when and how old the earth was made.

I disagree with much established religion, but evolution has nothing to do with it. Evolutionary biology is another (albeit more detailed) system of understanding, and as such doesn't challenge the essential mistakes of religion that involve the establishment of and fervent adherence to rigidly positivist systems of belief and understanding.

So... I guess I'm kinda in opposition to both of them, as unpopular as it might be to say so.

: "i dont believe in Darwins big bang theory at all...i believe"

Charles Darwin didn't create the big bang theory, he had nothing at all to do with the Big Bang theory.

The Big Bang theory was created by:

Georges Lemaitre, Professor of Physics, Astronomer and a Belgian Roman Catholic Priest .

Before you can make any logical assumptions, you first have to know what you're talking about. Given your lack education in this area, it's easy to see why you embrace such nonsensical myths.

There is not one shred of scientific evidence that supports Creationism. Yet, there is a multitude of scientific evidence supporting the Big Bang Theory (and other theories) and Evolution.

Scientist may disagree on the exact details of how the Universe began, how man came into existence through evolution and while both of these scientific studies may change over time - It is clear this Universe is billions of years old and man evolved.

A lot of religious people embrace science and their faith, they see no contradictions.
