Before Jesus came in the flesh, we are told that sinners who repented WERE saved by faith in the substitute slayed animal sacrifices outlined by God. And like those of today, they had to stop sinning (that's what repenting means). The actual atonement, however, took place with perfect timing when Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice these animals prefigured. So before Jesus came, the people looked FORWARD to the cross while those after, look BACK to the atonement on the cross. Therefore, in a way, you're right: it is the same for those who repent of their sins. For those who don't, there is no sacrifice or heaven. It really wouldn't have mattered when God would have chosen to send Jesus to earth but being gracious as He is, He gave mankind all the prophecies needed to help man recognize the true Messiah and prove, once again, that God keeps His promises regarding salvation and judgments. He couldn't have made these any clearer.

Not one of us is righteous as we were given free will by God. That means in our choices we will undoubtably choose to sin or go against the will of God. Our conciousness automatically justify our actions unless we have none and then I don't want to meet you on a dark street anytime soon. If nobody sinned then this world would be paradise but obviously the world is full of sinners wanting to repent and the cross is the only place that promises justification. Meaning it is the only place that we can go to on our own to seek forgiveness and know that it has been done. No questions asked. However, that does not mean you need to go right on back to doing the same ole, same ole. True forgiveness requires a 180.

The Bible teaches us that when we recieve the sacrifical benefits grace increases each time we sin. Meaning that there is more than enough grace to keep covering our sin.
Then it says:
Romans 6:1-4
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?
By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

hi. this is a rather tricky question u got..but anyways, since the beginning of the existence of humanity, only one peson walked the face of the earth who never sinned, not in thoughts, word or deed...it's vey well-documented in the Holy Book.He lived a blameless life. consider our first parents, Adam n Eve, they might have been carved out of God's own image n likeness but they proved vulnerable to the devil's temptation, they succumbed to it n fell short of God's glory...same as the rest of the characters in the Bible..even the Kings n great prophets sin along their way of following God's will..but not Christ...and when the time came the Father deemed right for humanity to fall, and the Son stepped in to save us from total destruction..out of love, that unconditional love of God....and for that love to fully materialize, the Son has to live among us,have u read the "solitary life"? and die the most shameful death of all...nobody is sinless. Only Christ n only HE can save us from hell. He had done it before, He is doing it now...

According to Christianity, everyone is born with the original sin. Therefore, according Christianity, everyone must be brought to salvation by the death of Jesus Christ. No normal human being can be free from sin. Ever.

Try to come up with harder questions.
He didn't die for our sins. He died to overcome death on its own home turf. He died and resurrected so that we could possibly follow Him.
