But I wonder why he won't help us out.

Did many apostles complain, or was it primarily Judas? ( Matthew 26: 6-13)

I believe in God. I am open minded. I dont think being Gay means you go to hell. I am bisexual myself. I see nothing wrong in having fun in life. I dont believe everything in the bible, because logically, there is no way everything in the bible is true. I believe Evolution is a total possibility. I have no grudge agienst atheists. If you are rude to me, I see no reason to be kind to you. I find the quote "Love the sinner, but hate the sin" a stupid way to see things.
I come on here sometimes to see whats going on with everyone else.
And I am ashamed when I see some "Christians" on here. They are awful! They are nothing but rude and judgemental and no matter what you guys do, you never listen to one another.
I know thats the way it is, but "Christians" claim to be "kind" and BS, but I havent seen one nice one yet. Not a single open minded person on here.
People following the bible blindly, not asking questions. Not taking logic into account.
Is there no one that agrees?

This is a serious question and I mean no disrespect.
I just finished reading a book called "God's Promise" about a mother's journey with autism (her son was born with it).
The mother refers many times to something being "God's will" or "plan". That she would try a different therapy if it is God's will. Many things she did not put a lot of effort into because she did not feel it was "God's Plan"...these are things that today have shown significant changes with children with autism.
Please only serious answers because this seriously has a special place in my heart. I am saddened by the things I see could have been done, and the thought of "what could have been" had they were done.
So all you believers out there please tell me how one knows what "God's plan" is? I know you pray, but what form of answers do you get to know what his plan is?

I am sorry, but Hitler was not a atheist.
Some guy said he was.
And he was not.

I am a believer of God, but that just goes to show you, just because you believe in God, does not make you a good person.

Hitler was not a atheist. I am not proud that he thought he was doing "gods bidding by killing jews", cause thats is stupid, but he was not a atheist.

Anyone else know this to be true? Anyone else actually attend school?

2007-10-03 04:41:16 · 18 answers · asked by Megan 3

Rather fallaciously, considering Hitler wasn't even an atheist--and even if he were, he wasn't killing in the name of religion--when the biblical God has killed more people personally, Himself?

google xenu yourself or read on.

He is forming an attack upon planet Earth in an act of vengence against the cult of Scientology.
This is not a joke, but high level scientology beliefs.
Most of the Scientologists who work in their Dianetics* centres and so called "Churches" of Scientology do not know this story since they are not allowed to hear it until they reach the secret "upper" levels of Scientology. It may take them many years before they reach this level if they ever do. The ones who do know it are forced to keep it a secret and not tell it to those people who are joining Scientology.
Here is the exact transcript written by L.Ron Hubggbard.

for diseases?

Everything exists (including us) to promote the development of diseases. They evolve quicker than our drugs can kill them.

Is it clear that God created the universe so that diseases could thrive?

when picking my kids up at school, it was in the back window of a mini van, that said "Pagen Mom and proud of it" I am not in no way putting pagens down, I dont understand them enough to make that judgement, nor the right to. but I am curiose, The first thing I thought of when I saw it was this mother forcing her children into doing some sort of rituals. I am sorry I may be wrong. the next thing I thought was . thats kind of weird to be prodcasting that, is she trying to make a point or what? will some of you Pagens please explain things to me? I am not sure where its comming from, but whenever I hear Pagan, my heart stops Cold and I am gripped with fear and disgust, but can in no way find why I feel that way. I have many friends who are into witch craft etc, I just ignore it, I ask no questions they dont give details. I only know them online. But I would like to know more about what you do and believe, and see if I can figure out where my feelings for it come from. Please dont take

I'm trying hard to understand something. A relative (who is white) recently married a nice young man who is black. Another relative is devastated, but won't talk to me about it. Now the couple is expecting a baby, and this other relative is just inconsolable. I think it goes way beyond bigotry. I know there are religions out there that think blacks don't go to heaven, and some that think heaven is "segregated". Do really hard-core Baptists think this? Is it possible she thinks the baby will wind up in some type of limbo in the afterlife?

It isn't possible for me to talk to her about it. We've fought far too much about religion in the past, and it's a VERY sore subject for us.

Thanks for your help.

does this mean that all the guys that were protecting their marriages , by lying and saying she WASn't fat looking in that dress, are going to need to confess that, now?

or is that not considered a lie?
how can it be ,with all these big butted married women around (hey-i'm one of them) that the confessionals aren't open a lot longer during the week, than they are?

Both believe in miracles. Fundamentalists believe Jesus walked on water. Atheists believe you get Shakespeare, Michelangelo, and Mozart from a lightning strike on inanimate matter.

Both believe in predestination. Fundamentalists believe God predetermines who will go to heaven and who will go to hell. Atheists believe that heredity predetermines whether you will be sexually faithful in marriage or perform sex on a succession of same-sex strangers.

Both accept dogmas by blind faith. Fundamentalists believe God created the universe out of nothing. Atheists believe that rocks assembled themselves into living cells full of complex microscopic machine, with metabolism and reproduction directed by libraries of information in DNA.

you think of all the thousands of people burned alive; roasted slowly alive on a slow burning spit, red hot tongs dismembering delecate body parts then sprinkled with "holy water"; children stamped on in front of their tortured parents; being sawn in half alive and having limbs ripped from their sockets.

All done in the name of God. (not that God wanted it)

That don't happen any more so at what point did the churches become true christian churches?
Or is it that human society itself changed first thus the clergy could no longer get away with doing this as before?

are all police occifers and soldiers,etc.. that have killed someone going to burn in hell?
should weNOTbe policed ,in any way and just go by what we feel is right(according to the bibble), and hope everybody else does, too?

that would make sense,as far as the "no worldly possessions "deal goes, too.
because the less bling you're flashing ,the less ppl want to take anything away from you. ...including,of course -your life,to get to it. whatever IT is..

Any value that you might attempt to pin to biblical stuff already existed independently in other regions of the world. In fact, it's quite likely that the Old Testament stole its better ideas from things like the Code of Hammurabai, which belonged to the Mesopotamian religion that worshiped Marduk.
Also, what many people envision when they say the word "God" is not the insanity of the Old Testament Yaweh, but rather the Platonic and Aristotelian monotheism of the Greek philosophers. Time to get an education Mr. McCain. Until then, you will not be my president.
