Why or why not?

Christians should follow the teachings of Christ. We are not of this world but visitors here. I myself am passing through headed to a better place. Christians should love their enemies.

Mat. 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

I would propose we love our troops and those who are at war with us and pray for peace as Christ did teach.

First of all, I have never gotten the term "support the troops" and how some people say you can do that but not support the war

If you're asking if it's important for a Christian to support the war, no. The bible supports war only when it's necessary, like fending off the Romans and defending the Temple. In this war, it's a matter of opinion, so to go either way is fine.

Here's how you support the troops . . . working with three churches, I collected a bunch of stuff at Christmas time last year, to send to the troops. I got their names through here:

You can see from their lists that the government doesn't provide many of the basics they need.

As a Christian, I'm 100 percent against war.

But our nation supports war -- we claim we abhor it, but we don't. As long as the government spends more on war and the Defense Department, than it does on peace, and the State Department, then the USA will be involved in wasteful, needless wars.

And women and men will waste their lives for governments, rather than for peace.

America is the land of freedom and oportunity. If we do not support the US military and the military is defeated or is no longer a superior force than the freedoms America enjoys are in Jepordy. I have been in the US armed forces for 15 years and I am a Christian. I hope you support me but if you do not I will still support you. I support all those that protest the military. I fight to make sure these anti-military protestors have the right to protest no matter if I like it or not.

No, Christ is the end (not mend) of the law...

Grace(not law) unto you, and peace(not division),
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

John Lewis: (prior to the Iraq war)
"War does not end strife - it sows it.
War does not end hatred - it feeds it.
For those who argue war is a necessary evil, I say you are half right. War is evil. But it is not necessary. War cannot be a necessary evil, because non-violence is a necessary good. The two [law vs grace] cannot co-exist".

Gandhi:
"the choice is non-violence(grace) or non-existence(law)"

Shakespeare:
"To be (grace), or not to be (law), that is the question"

JC: either make the tree good(grace) or corrupt(law).

Paul: Christ is our "peace" who abolished the law(enimity).
Mark & AVOID them causing divisions(wars): Rom 16:17

God: I will have mercy(grace), and not sacrifice(law).
Hosea 6:6 repeated in Matthew 9:13 as a go figure.

His Grace neither makes nor takes sides;
For sides wars have side effects to both sides,
the most notable side effect to a void being death.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I think its important for all Americans to support our troops, regardless of if we support the war or not. Doesn't have anything at all to do with religion, its about patriotism.

It is always the Christians who support murdering people all around the world. White Christians have killed more humans on this planet than any other race, religion or nation on this planet.

This tell what Christians are and what their belief is. LOVE, LOVE AND LOVE IS ALL RUBISH AND TRYING TO MAKE PEOPLE FOOL.
