Rather fallaciously, considering Hitler wasn't even an atheist--and even if he were, he wasn't killing in the name of religion--when the biblical God has killed more people personally, Himself?

I meant, "even if he were, he wasn't killing in the name of religion," strictly to apply to the scenario of him being an atheist--which he wasn't. In fact, it turns out that Hitler basically admits to killing in the name of God.

actually Hitler was a catholic. it is documented that he sought help from Rome in his schemes
You will find it in Mein Kampf: "Therefore, I am convinced that I am acting as the agent of our Creator. By fighting off the Jews, I am doing the Lord's Work."
Hitler regarded himself as a Catholic until he died. "I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so," he told Gerhard Engel, one of his generals, in 1941
the history is out there.

Many people make the point that Hitler was a Catholic, and he was baptized one.But Hitler persecuted Catholics in the same way he persecuted Jews, not to mention homosexuals, gypsies, the physically and mentally disabled, and others.
Hitler also believed that Jesus was an Aryan, not a Jew.
Incidentally, Hitler was motivated by power and expediency, not any particular religion or lack of it.

Killed more personally? Let's get out the score card....Lennin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot...over 60 million. Big number.....but let's not stop there...Plan*** Pare***** has helped us sustain over 1.25 million abortions per year, so add another 40 million ...where are we now...over 100 million?
what's the common belief in all of these folks - aint no God.
As for hitler wasn't killing in the name of religion...wow...talk about being off base...remember the "Aryan super-race" talk? Don't remember all the SS involvment in rituals and ceremonies, with Hitler as the deity?
Might help to study history more before attempting to teach.

They do it because they don't like the fact that Hitler was Christian. He even said in Mein Kampf that he was doing gods work. Christians live most of their lives in denial so why should this be any different?

It's called the Big Lie. Goebbel's, who worked for the Roman Catholic Hitler, invented this philosophy of propaganda.

Even if Hitler was (he wasn't) why does it matter? Are they trying to say we're all like him?

Hitler was NOT an atheist...who told you that????
Hitler was the best proof that because you call yourself "religious" it doesn't mean you know ANYTHING about God.

He was not an atheist, but neither did he believe in God. He followed his own form of eastern karmic religion. But he was certainly not a Christian either.
