I know that Catholicism does accept it now, although they opposed it in the past. I've been told by a member that the LDS Church opposes evolution, and I know the Church of Christ and most or all Baptists reject evolution. But what about Lutherans, Methodists, Episcopalians, et al.?

I respect everyones views..I love to learn from every walk in life. It seems to me that's what we are all responding to...our walk through life and our reaction to that walk or experience. Some get involved in a religious group because their family has always done so...when they hear a negative remark about their group they feel this on a personal level...it feels like an attack on their family. In some family they have no affilation yet feel attacked when someone tells them to join them...or else!

When you hear someone say: IF you don't join me in my belief or disbelief...well then your an idiot.

Doesn't that say more about that person than does their beliefs or disbeliefs?

I read that Mother Teresa said this: Preach the Gospel EVERYWHERE...but only use words when necessary..

Can we learn in peace & acceptance of each other?

Your thoughts?

And if so, do Christians and Jews also believe in Democracy?
Democracy = the belief in freedom and equality between people no matter their religious/non religious beliefs.

but how can they be certain everyone else is going to hell

2007-10-03 01:25:04 · 13 answers · asked by Anonymous

being raised atheist, i knew as a child that since i didn't believe in or obey god i would go to hell. it didn't matter to me since i didn't believe in hell either.

but, i've read in here countless times that christians don't tell kids that they'll go to hell for not believing or obeying. yet, those same christians will confirm that you do indeed go to hell for these things.

so i'm confused. who's telling kids this? is it atheists who are telling non christian children that they'll go to hell for not believing in god?

you get so many thumbs down when you answer with bible quotes, put a capital T on the word truth, or say yours is the only way to salvation.

does it ever make you wonder that maybe the masses are right, that maybe your way isn't the ONLY way, that maybe you HAVE been brainwashed into some cult?

or does this just strengthen your faith in the lord because you've been taught that satan will try to steer you away from god and you feel like you're actually battling satan?

either way, does it bum you out when you get so many thumbs down for your beliefs?

I've never ever been a fan of Christianity and I believe that Wicca is the way of life for me. I have some books, but I don't have any practical experience, as such.

I guess you could say that I'm looking for somebody who can possibly direct me as to what the best books are, if they know of any local contacts I can speak to who would be willing to help a total novice?

I know this sounds like an advert but searching on the internet leads me to so many American websites - not a great help when I live in Lancashire!

Anyway, if anybody can help me, in any way, it really would be appreciated. Thankyou. =]

an hour later it gets to him and he stops hiding and tells god to punish him and forgiven his wicked ways.and goes to confess to the police. on his way there he meets a born again friend and accepts jesus as his lord and savior, immediately after the prayer he dies.
