Haha! My wife and I say "bless you" to each other, without giving it a second thought.
My boss says "salud" to everyone who sneezes in the office. Spanish for "health," you know. That's a pretty good solution, if you're looking for a non-religious comment. ;-)
A guy at one of my old jobs used to say "Buddha bless you." It was funny the first few times.
If it was a particularly violent sneeze, I guess you could ask, "Did you get any on ya?"

I prefer they say nothing at all. But my lady friend can't help saying it to me, despite my quotes to her on my atheist beliefs. I guess it's like a bad habit that won't go away with a lot of people. We've been hearing people say "God, bless you." every time someone sneezes the moment we come out the womb up until adulthood.

I say bless you. Way I see it, they still need blessings sent their way. Most people will say thank you to this. There are few who really get offended since this is a common phrase that people say in response to sneezing.

It really doesn't matter. I like Gesundheit myself, it wishes good health and is universally applicable. I don't mind if someone doesn't say anything and I don't get offended if they say bless you, its a cultural thing. I don't think too many people today are saying it because they think you might actually get possessed when you sneeze.

Tell him or her:
1. "You have the devil in your nose, good riddance, now accept my God or go to hell"
2. "You are still going to hell"
3. "You are an arrogant abomination and it was phrophesied that you would herald the end of the world, and that you would mock me for telling you."
4. "Athiest, where do you think a sneeze come from? Just knowhere I suppose? You think it an accident? LOLOL!!1 It was created and U say it just an itch made by a science??!! LOL!!"

God bless you! Even though the person that is sneezing doesn't believe in God, I do. I am not going to ask the person 'do you believe in God' first to determine what I say to them. I am just not that flexiable and don't have that much time to please the whole world.

Say "God bless you" anyway. Don't change your beliefs just so you won't offend someone after they've sneezed! They can get over it if they don't like it.

Most of us don't want you to perpetuate idiotic superstitions by saying anything at all. If you must, you could say "salud" or "gesundheit," both of which just wish the sneezer good health. When I sneeze, I say "excuse me" and leave it at that.
