I think it is possibly to imply the existence of God by logical discourse and methods of reason, but to know God by a method which implies our ability to have a comprehensive understanding is self-contradictory. God as a singular, is inherently not rational, but rather engenders rationality...

E.G. Writing is in the ink, but everything can not be written logically to explicitly, and completely disclose all the potential words of the ink... It can be done implicitly, but not explicitly.

God bless.

Yes, since reason and rationality is exactly the direction from which I approach.

It is not by faith alone. "At present I know partially, but then I shall know accurately... Now however, there remain faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

The gospel according to Luke opens with him stating:

"Whereas many have undertaken to compile a statement of the facts that are given full credence among us,... I resolved also, because I have traced all things from the start with accuracy, to write them in logical order... that you may know fully the certainty of the things that you have been taught orally."

Yes, I believe that it is possible. It would require an enormous amount of work on your part however. You would need to study all the basic religions...from Hindu to Muslim to Jewish to Christian (beyond the divisions of Baptist vs Catholic) be sure not to forget the Gnostic's! Remember Jesus was a seeker of knowledge and a student of many religions. Good luck I hope you find what it is that you seek.

It's possible, but you have to abandon your own sense of what "reasoning" is before you do.

No....

It is by faith alone.

Of course we don't throw reason out the window when we get saved.......but God is beyond reason. He is more than real....and He reveals Himself to those who seek Him.
