Most of the Scientologists who work in their Dianetics* centres and so called "Churches" of Scientology do not know this story since they are not allowed to hear it until they reach the secret "upper" levels of Scientology. It may take them many years before they reach this level if they ever do. The ones who do know it are forced to keep it a secret and not tell it to those people who are joining Scientology.

Surely this is a REAL question and you are looking for some sort of REAL answer? Otherwise yahoo answers gets kindof ticked off and you might get slapped (no conspiracy nut, it doesnt matter what the subject was).
Interesting subject huh? Its like the secrets in the vaults of the Vatican that only the pope and his buddies get to see. Or the secrets of the Masons.
It is kindof kewl though to see a link like that. Since 1997, on a major university web server? Linked to off of his personal page. It kindof trashes what people say about scientology that a link like that is still here. :) Now maybe some of the scaredy cats that post here will actually check out one of the centers.

That's not quite the Xenu story... and besides, he isn't "forming" an attack according to OT3. He's ALREADY attacked, has been overthrown, captured and imprisoned forever.
At level OT III (Operating Thetan 3), some very strange & fiercely guarded secrets are imparted upon worthy members who have paid enough money to advance to such a level (and no, this isn't a joke): The evil alien ruler Xenu killed millions of aliens (Thetans) from around the universe by kidnapping them, bringing them to earth in golden DC-8 “space-planes”, stacking them around volcanoes & blowing them up by dropping “h-bombs” into the volcanoes. Scientologists believe the souls of these aliens (these souls are "Body Thetans") were captured, brainwashed & released; they then attached themselves to our ancestors (and according to Scientology’s belief in Thetan immortality, they also attached to us during “past lives”) & cause many of our mental & physical ills to this day. Auditing is said to “clear” us of these Body Thetans as well as the “mental implants” they supposedly impose on our minds.

Actually xenu is suposed to be a prisioner somewere. That's is Sci-fy novel by L Ron Hubbard called "to the Stars", People confuse hubbard's sci-fy work with his religious work.

LOL truly Scientology was made up by a washed up sci-fi writer hack in the late 50's early 60's. he did it for the cash. pity he became senile and paranoid towards the end he started to believe his own b*llsh*t and no more enjoyment of ill gotten Rich's for little L.Ron.Hubberd. it's just a big LOL fest watching them go .

Ummm...if I told the story of Jesus, but changed his name, you would think it was a crock also. The best part of Scientology is that they don't knock on my freakin door at 8am on my weekend off. I really couldn't care less about what they believe. Free country.
