This is the equivalent of screaming on the Internet, and it makes whoever is typing it look idiotic. I just recommend avoidance in this practice.

A tangled web of lies does nothing but confuse the masses and lead them to death and hell…
Do we not desire ALL to really know the truth and be saved?

Very well…
The chief points of the Reformation were as follows:
Salvation is by GRACE alone.
Salvation is through FAITH alone.

Now, the Catholic church excommunicated people for believing and proclaiming these truths, even to the point of speaking a curse upon them and throwing them in jail!

But, now…certain Catholics seem to be indicating that “true” Catholic doctrine teaches that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone?

I use to be a Catholic…or rather, a “pseudo-Catholic”…and became an atheist. Now that the Lord has revealed Himself to me, do you Catholics have the audacity to say that He is leading me back to Rome Catholicism?

You're always hearing people going on about a 'war' on Christianity, Muslims freak out about once a month about some perceived slight to their prophet. It seems to me if people really had any strength to their faith these things wouldn't matter! After all, if you really believe in your god, who supposedly created THE UNIVERSE and everything in it, what would the carping of some malcontents matter in the big picture? What power do mocking or disrespectful words have against the almighty creator of everything? If your faith was sincere the obvious answer would be 'none'. The fact that people react the way they do has a lot more to do with temporal Earthly matters than sprituality, and their defensive behavior a clear sign of a faith that is immature; still fixated on symbolism and ceremony than what really matters, their soul, which lies out of reach of any Earthly influence, let alone some silly mocking words...

Sometimes, I read answers/questions from Christians, and I feel like I'm telling a child there is no Santa.

Do you ever feel bad for telling someone the truth? Maybe they know but they just really don't want to hear it.

...my name would be "i Vote 4 funny (atheist)"

I constantly see people inaccurately assuming the religion or belief of another person and then questions never get answered as they would have been. In fact, I've seen confusion of a person's beliefs cause people to completely misinterpret their question or answer. I think we all have. Haven't you?

I wonder if making what you are absolutely obvious would help the R&S community make progress toward the end of mutual understanding and acceptance. Or if that would just take some of the fun out of it.

I guess you could always add a statement to the end of your question like, "but that's just hypothetical, because I don't believe in that," or something along those lines, but I think constantly using qualifiers is, well, kind of gay.

What do you think?

Why is it that everything that Christians attribute to God (i.e. answered prayers, miracles, communication with God, weather, etc.) can also be explained by natural causes and/or luck? Christians, even if you insist that God is responsible for these things, you cannot deny that it is at least possible for them to be explained by natural causes and/or luck. For example, if a cancer victim defies 1,000 to 1 odds and lives, you can at least argue that the person just happened to be the 1 out of the 1,000. Or, if a Christian is having a hard time deciding which career path to take, so they pray about it and end up making a decision, couldn’t someone at least argue that the person was simply using their own logic and talking out loud helped them organize their thoughts and think clearly? Do you think God set up the world so that it would be difficult for humans to tell whether things happened because of natural causes or because of divine intervention? In other words, how come nothing happens today that is undeniably the work of God?

The following excerpt forbids members from receiving Blood Transfusions:

"of the Holy Scriptures in this regard subject the dedicated, baptized receiver of blood transfusion to being disfellowshipped from the Christian congregation?
The inspired Holy Scriptures answer yes....According to the law of Moses, which set forth shadows of things to come, the receiver of a blood transfusion must be cut off from God's people by excommunication or disfellowshiping....if in the future he persists in accepting blood transfusions or in donating blood toward the carrying out of this medical practice upon others, he shows that he has really not repented, but is deliberately opposed to God's requirements. As a rebellious opposer and unfaithful example to fellow members of the Christian congregation he must be cut off therefrom by disfellowshiping." - The Watchtower 01/15/1961 pp. 63, 64

In the modern remake of the Battlestar Galactica series done by the Sci-Fi Channel the Colonials are depicted as being polytheistic (in fact, worshipping Gods and Goddesses very similar to those of ancient Greece and Rome). Their opponents the Cylons are monotheistic and believe that their God wants them to exterminate the Humans (even though there are individual Cylons who do not embrace this policy).

Is this a case of Art imitating History? After all, the Christian Church after it was made legal then adopted a policy of exterminating Pagans in forced conversion campaigns.....

We go to peoples homes at OUR expense to help people learn more about the Bible as you can see from the answers in this forum most people either don't know what they believe or can't prove it scriptually the fact is that they have been victiems of WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING. you were warned this would happen. YOU CANNOT JOIN JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES. We only want to help you understand the Bible so you can make an informed decision. YOUR RELIGION IS YOUR BUSINESS. Don't be blinded by false religious dogma, have a conversation with us. Use the Bible as the Guide, many have critized the NWT , go to this site & see what a Harvard PHD said of it. http://www.tetragrammaton.org/truthintrans.htm Look most of us came from other religions, we left because of the accurate Bible knowledge we learned. We only have love for you, & we will respect your right to refuse to talk to us, we're used to it. But do ask questions & insist on scriptual answers. Its not what we think

I do not hate or condemn Catholics, I LOVE them! I just despise ALL teaching that “steals” glory from God!

In my last post, some Catholics AGREED that salvation according to the Catholic Church is BASED on grace PLUS works.

Others seemed to indicate that this is a “lie” and that the Catholic Church teaches salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.

But let’s go to the Catholic source, itself (which, sorrowfully, is NOT the Bible):
"No one can MERIT the initial grace which is at the origin of conversion. Moved by the Holy Spirit, we can MERIT for ourselves and for others all the graces needed to attain eternal life, as well as necessary temporal goods" (Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), par. 2027).

Look, if you REALLY want to know the truth, look here:
http://www.carm.org/catholic/gospel.htm

You CAN be saved and a Christian, even if you are a Catholic. NO denomination is “perfect” in their teaching.
