that god is real using quotes from sections of the bible or other "holy" text? If a Atheist doesn't believe in any gods, why would he believe a text that is suppose to be written by one?

Well, to their credit, if that holy book did offer incredible insight into reality, like predictions of the future and such, I'd be persuaded...

(predictions of the future cannot be validated within the same book, should not be vaugue, and should not be post-dictions)

people dont convince other people ... there has to be a moving of a person from the inside .. but a person living an example can be an influence either way ..

the only thing sillier i would say is the notion that anyone can "convince" anyone else to believe anything! people have to choose their beliefs, and all you can do is provide evidence, options and alternatives. you cant choose for anyone else.
