"Would a true Christian use pirate software to make a run the website for their church?"

I wasn't aware there were any laws concerning copyright in the Bible, those are laws people made up.

You think God should punish people who break the laws people make up. Interesting concept. Does that include German's who hid Jews during WW2? Should they be punished?

It is generally a good idea to follow the law of the land, but, the laws people make up have nothing to do with God's laws.

Nope, stealing is stealing.

And stealing, by definition is taking without permission, which is exactly what using pirate software is.

So if a "true Christian" did that, they'd be sinning, AND breaking the law.

No. It would violate the Commandment which says "You Shall Not Steal"...

The use of pirated software is theft as the royalties/licencing fees that are due for its use are not being paid

No, but many like to look past their own faults but enjoy slamming others. These ones ARE NOT true Christians.

True Christians? "True" Christians are sinful just like anyone else and do make mistakes. While I think it is definitely sinful and unethical to do this, even Christians sin.
