"It proclaims itself as the word of god, therefore proving beyond a doubt that it is the word of god and that book is a joke dude, if it's in the bible, it must be true........ cuz I said so, therefore it must be true."

cashelmara, why are you putting words in my mouth and breaking yahoo's rules, and God's, by forcing your beliefs on me and my friends and others? Is that godly? Evil one, where did I say all revealed truth is found in Scripture? And isn't it stupid of you to say "66" as if that matters? Wow you are so intelligent you said "66". Well holy mother of mothers my world is changed you pointed out how many "books" are in Scripture. Neato eato you're so wise.
Basher, how many times have you seen me refute Catholics now and yet you are still trolling and bashing me? Remember when I pointed out those two evil quotes, one from a pope and one from Eusubius, and how you quickly deleted your whole answer afterwards? I wonder why? Evil one, the idea that, "No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers” in is a fact.

Excuse me, "is a fact". Yet your evil kind brush it aside with, "everyone sins."
Evil one, remember this:
"You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men." And he said to them: "You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe[a] your own traditions!"
Evil one, do I need your tradition to understand that verse? Evil one, do you control the Spirit of God? Evil one, once again, as I asked your kind here before, how can one know how to get saved unless the Spirit first opens their eyes?
Evil one, where were your Sacred Traditions before they were first invented? Were they there to guide the Abel-John the Baptists? What then guided them to the truth evil one? Did your Sacred Traditions open the eyes of Christ? What about his mother? Now stop lying.

Cashel the evil one who can dish it but can't take it, said, "And given the level of bickering back and forth about what Scripture means, do you believe that God expects each of us to be a scholar of Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Chaldean to understand His word and the message of salvation? No!"
Woooowie woo! You said, "No!" therefore you are right cuz u said so with great emotional fervor! Wrong evil one, your emotions and your ranting are not what determine the truth.
Does anyone need to be a scholar to understand God's word or translate a few words correctly? No evil one.
You: "This is why He, in His wisdom, started a Church with teaching authority through Peter, the earthly father of the New Covenant and whose successors sit on the Chair of Peter, just as Abraham was the earthly father of the Old Covenant and his successors sat on the Chair of Moses."
Cuz u said so. Wrong again. Stick with God's word, not your emotions and your word.

The idea that all revealed truth is to be found in "66 books" is not only not in Scripture, it is contradicted by Scripture (1 Corinthians 11:2, 2 Thessalonians 2:15, 2 Thessalonians 3:6, 1 Timothy 3:15, 2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Peter 3:16). It is a concept unheard of in the Old Testament, where the authority of those who sat on the Chair of Moses (Matthew 23:2-3) existed. In addition to this, for 400 years, there was no defined canon of "Sacred Scripture" aside from the Old Testament; there was no "New Testament"; there was only Tradition and non-canonical books and letters.
And given the level of bickering back and forth about what Scripture means, do you believe that God expects each of us to be a scholar of Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Chaldean to understand His word and the message of salvation? No! This is why He, in His wisdom, started a Church with teaching authority through Peter, the earthly father of the New Covenant and whose successors sit on the Chair of Peter, just as Abraham was the earthly father of the Old Covenant and his successors sat on the Chair of Moses.
Our Lord founded a Church (Matthew 16:18-19), not a book, which was to be the pillar and ground of Truth (1 Timothy 3:15). We can know what this Church teaches by looking not only at Sacred Scripture, but into History and by reading what the earliest Christians have written, what those who've sat on the Chair of Peter have spoken consistently with Scripture and Tradition, and what they've solemnly defined. To believe that the Bible is our only source of Christian Truth is unbiblical and illogical.

I have honestly idea plenty approximately that seeing that although I'm a Christian, I have continually had an excessively skeptical nature. My truly purpose for believing in God is from a private revel in I had that I do not particularly consider like being mocked for therefore I'm no longer going to percentage it however simply considering logically approximately it. Most persons will agree that there was once no less than a person, Jesus, that existed whether or not they think he was once the son of God or no longer. I think that he was once the son of God seeing that of the matters he mentioned. They had been so very smart & smart that it without doubt stressed even the knowledgeable persons of his day, that is unusual coming from a relatively younger Jewish guy that was once very very deficient & most likely lacked any kind of formal education or schooling. He was once additionally very loving, form & compassionate & why could he be & say a majority of these matters in the event that they were not actual? He would were loopy, sure, however so much persons which can be insane are on the whole far more disorganized of their suggestions, ideals & speech. He certainly was once no longer & then he permit persons nail him to a go & continued terrible ache for what he believed to be actual, so it wasn't like he was once only a Charismatic con artist simply seeking to get a host of persons of lesser intelligence to think him for his possess sake.

Please read 2Peter 1:19-21
The phrase carried along suggest s apicture of a boat driven by the wind-as it is used in Acts 27:15.17. This does not mean that God dictated the Bible word for word to the writers as thought they were stenographers. On the contrary, each writer's personality and literary style comes through. We can say that the writers were supernaturally motivated and influenced by God's Spirit to convey His message to humanity.

sometimes it seems like theres no way to convince someone that the bible is true,or that the lord is real.one of my jobs as a christian is to plant the seeds, and water them.it is the lord that provides the miracle of growth.
these verses are as good as the next i suppose.i tend to just walk as a good christian, and am always ready to help an inquisitive person seeking the lord.

Unless the person experiences God, the Bible may not have much meaning. God must be central. Permit God to work through you. Let Him reach others through you.
Study the Bible as often as possible and then when you are talking to somebody, if a verse is needed, The Spirit will give you the right verse for that situation. Every person is different. Every need is different.

Just two:
Isaiah 41:22-23 (New International Version)
22 "Bring in your idols to tell us
what is going to happen.
Tell us what the former things were,
so that we may consider them
and know their final outcome.
Or declare to us the things to come,
23 tell us what the future holds,
so we may know that you are gods.
Do something, whether good or bad,
so that we will be dismayed and filled with fear.
It stands to reason that if there is a God and he did send down a religious book, he should provide us with proof that his book was in fact authored by him. The most effective way to do this is to accurately "predict" events that have not yet taken place. The Bible is the only religious text that has had 100% prophetic accuracy to date, verified by even the most secular of sources. That is our proof that the Bible is the only Word of God.

Nothing we can say will convince a non-believer that the Bible is true. To believe, you have to be willing to open your heart to God. If anyone is truly serious about which four verses I would use, feel free to e-mail me.

That would be self-referential. You cannot use Bible verses to establish that the Bible is true, you might as well just tell them everything you ever tell them is true. Rather, the Bible's truth is proved to each individual when you live the Christian life and experience the things it talks about.

Verses alone can't convince an unbeliever, dear one. Only the Holy Spirit can do that. It is His job to draw an unbeliever to God. Without that, nothing else will do any good.
God bless you!
