Bottom line, in our flesh we will all be capable of doing things that do not follow along God's word. But because He has a huge amount of love and forgiveness for us, he forgives us no matter what we do as long as we're truly sorry. And the way that we tell if something is good or bad is our conscience.

As for your "abnormal"/"bad" question, I wouldn't necessarily call "abnormal" as being "bad." Sometimes the "abnormal" qualities may have been genetic or passed along from our ancestors, so it's not entirely our fault if we carry an "abnormal" trait. As for being bad, it's common sense -- if we know what we're doing is wrong and we deliberately do it anyway, then it's a sin.

I hope that answers a wee bit -- people are all going to answer differently since these words are pretty ambiguous.

No, abnormal does not mean bad. No one is the same, so in a way we're all abnormal! But then none of us are perfectly good, so... yeah...
But being different is a good thing.
Jesus was definitely NOT normal! (By human standards anyway)
Hope that's useful
(I know there are some 'Christians' who think abnormal = bad, but, (no offense meant to them), they obviously don't know God very well, as he is a loving God, he loves everybody, no matter what they do. If you like he loves the people, but hates what they do.)

Is an abnormally developed foot ie. clubfoot a bad thing to have? Do abnormally developed animals survive in the wild? Anything that does not do what it was created for is a hinderance to the purpose of it's being created. There are things that are phisical and cannot be helped. But there are things that are moral and need to be overcome. Behavior can be changed, clubfoot cannot. Why choose a way of life that defeats the purpose of life?

"Abnormal" is only a departure from the normal, i.e., He walked to the store, but he normally drives. No sin there. Maybe it's just your perception that some Christians seem to think that abnormal is "bad.".

Of course it doesn't. As you said, some of us seem to think so, but most of us don't.

Abnormal simply means different to the norm. For example, if someone tells you you're one in a million, they're not telling you you're bad, are they?

lets just look at the word NORMAL in abNORMAL. there is no such thing as normal. trust me. there is such a thing as morals and values and that is what christianity is supposed to be based on. so if you think you are doing something abnormal you probably aren't what you do is between you and your God. so you must decide what is right or wrong.

I'm abnormal and bad, why should I be the only one?

It depends. If you have an abnormal growth? No. If you ARE abnormal? Perhaps.

abnormal means not normal

Hmmmmm. Interesting. I would have thought it the other way around.

For example, most Christians oppose abortion whereas Pro-abortionists think, uh oh, baby has 6 fingers, not normal, bad, abort.
