I know on here you are often told you are not Christians. So let me turn it around a bit. What do you think about other Christians? For instance I happen to be a Pentecostal Christian. Or Baptists. We reject Joseph Smith and the book of mormon. Do you believe we are Christians? Do you think we have a chance at the celestial part of Heaven?

I asked a question previously about christian and why they are so happy. I see how christians are different and wanted to feel their joy. I got some good answers, but I tried to contact some who gave good answers for more information and could not get a reply from them but once.

So I will ask here.
What set your god apart from other gods?
What is work of your god?
Why should I believe in your god?
You cannot see your god. Why do you still believe in him?
Pray? Hmm? Your god does not reply. Why pray then?
Even know there is no evidence your god exist, why still believe your god exist? You have no reply, cannot see him, cannot hear him. Why belive?

Very very very very confused?

Do not say go to church because I cannot, and do not say read your bible because I have none. The bible i looks up online make absolutely no sence. They are fairy tales. Make-believe. Why do you belive what it says?

I believe there is a god, but i dont agree with the views of any religions i have been aware of, how do i choose a religion if every other religion hates me for my beliefs.
God is in everything, and everywhere.
Churches are controlled by governments and god doesnt want you to be controlled by false authority.
I dont believe in jesus being the dude we all have to "accept in our hearts" sure he did some cool **** but how does what he did effect me? It doesnt, some dude got murdered on a cross by his kin. Jesus was jewish, he wasnt christians, why do you base your religion around that..

I may be bhuddist, im not sure, Why do the christians hate on bhudda when he is the brother of jesus?

Think about this before you answer i dont want to see you criticizing me for my beliefs.

How come people bash Christians. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of judgemental ones out there and that is not a way to be. You very rarely hear people slandering Hinduism, Buddism, Islam, and etc. How come the focus is on Christianity. It is because God just might be convicting your heart(this is a big possibility) and you have to shoot it down with negativity before it spreads and you REALIZE there is truly a Jesus Christ that died not just for me, but YOU, and He loves YOU just as much. Just wondering?

...that God spoke to them, telling them to help me find the Lord.

So: I want to know, not as a joke, but honestly; why doesn't God tell me himself??

Every nice and moral passage is always in contect like these ones:
Trust in the Lord and do good...Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:3,4

Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
Isaiah 12:2,3

When an atheist puts down a bad passage it must always be out of context like these:

(Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT)
If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

Whoever sacrifices to any god, except the Lord alone, shall be doomed. (Exodus 22:19 NAB)

McCain does not rule out the value of having a person of a different faith but says (effectively) that, given the choice between two otherwise equivalent candidates, he would choose the Christian over a non-Christian.

He calls it ""an important part of our qualifications to lead."

Do you agree?

I do not. I think it should not enter into the election process. The Constitution explicitly states that there shall be no religious test for the presidency. This, of course, will not stop many from affirming their beliefs through the election process (and maybe it shouldn't) but I for one will not elect someone solely for their religious beliefs.

Then again, I'm an agnostic... :D

I'm a Mormon, and I believe that we are. I'd also possibly like to know why you might think that we aren't.

Alternately, you can name what religions you can think of that are not Christian (preferably ones that claim to be at least loosely affiliated with Christianity), but I'd appreciate it if you'd be so kind as to specify whether you're listing Christian or non, and if both, which is which.

I just want to better understand the people around me, and see whether it's just Mormons that are getting picked on. (Because it sure feels that way sometimes).

I am reading about Samhain and the Horned God came up. I am under the impression that The Horned God is the primal, active force within all things, a wild man unfettered by civilization and driven by primal instincts. He is the Lord of the Forest and of animals. He is both hunter and hunted - he who slays so others can live, and he who dies to nourish others in the natural cycle. He rules the season of winter, when the earth is dead and primitive people had to survive by hunting instead of gathering or farming. He represents male sexuality, as the phallic nature of his horns suggest, virility, and strength. He is Lord of the Underworld, as indicated in the Legend of the Descent of the Goddess. He is also sometimes connected with the mythological Wild Hunt. Is this true or did I find somthing totally untrue.......

church, as well as in his company-he chose to be among sinners. The fact is, currupt people do not diminish the holiness of chirst church, of whom the bible says is holy and without blemish. That is the teachings of Christ that is holy and without blemish, and the catholic church keeps his teachings and will forever hold them as her price-less, and uncomprimising treasures.

my 4yr old sister was playing with our neighbor Jada who is 6 at her house. my sister came home screaming to my dad that Jada step dad was hitting Jada again (he hits Jada mum too).
My dad went to their house, stopped the step dad, took him outside & beat him.
The other neighbors called the police & told my dad it is none of his business. My dad said he is tired of that man beating on Jada & her mom & the police do nothing.
The step dad does'nt live there anymore.
Is what my dad did good or bad?

Ulrich Zwingli was teaching reform in Zurich in 1522. His doctrine was the most radical of any of the Reformers when He forbade the corporeal Christ from worship as he showed to have no reverence for the orthodoxy of the Church and based his disbelief on his doubts that God could perform such a miracle and doubted the need to be present at the cross as Christ commanded at the Last Supper in celebrating the sacrifice of the Mass. He totally rejected the ancient liturgy of the Church out of his desire to align with the secular authorities of the princes rather than the authority of the Church. Having priests ordained in apostolic succession being necessary for the Sacraments and especially the Eucharist would make it impossible to separate completely from the Church so it was necessary to deny Christ’s presence and reject the liturgy of the mass that allowed the corporeal Christ to be present in worship.
