Take your past to God. Ask him for Forgiveness. He will throw them into The sea of forgetfulness never to be remember again. He is Merciful and Gracious to do so. After all he Died that you and I could have life in abundance to the full until it runs over...
Once you do that HE is faithful and will meet every need because you seek him and do not lean to your own knowledge. Gods love will restore your Joy. ....which leads us to II Timothy 1:7 For God did not give us the spirit of Fear........but of Power, Love and a Sound mind. He will remove those things that taunt you. Cast down those thoughts that tell you you are not worthy. The Devil will hold your mind captive as long as you let him....What I am saying is ...when he comes to you and reminds you of your past simply say "Devil you have no Dominion over my Mind, Body or Soul, I have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.....flee now in the mighty Name of Jesus. And he will flee. But you must do that over and over. Because the minute Satan See's your guard down...guess what...He will come back to haunt you but...but only if you let him........Stay filled will the word (the Bible)that is your sword! God Bless You....

What was it in your past that so wounded you that it now haunts your thoughts?

Your fears taunt you because you allow thoughts of what happened in the past to impede the steps you now wish to take and the goals you wish to accomplish.

Something from the past tells you deep inside,"you can't do it," and it is that little voice that causes your fear.

I pray that you will be set free from the past.

I think it is important to remember your past so you know not to make those mistakes again, just put it past you though because you know you can't change anything. Well I do not know what you are afraid of but at least you have admitted your faults which is more then most so now you know what to work on. The truth is no one is perfect and everybody could improve on something.

Its probably because of unresolved issues in the past that you continue to ignore or put aside. Deal with it to get over the past and your fears.

What is it about your past that you fear and what is it about your fear that you allow to overpower you? Learn to recognize your inner power and harness it to the full to battle inner demons that have been bugging you. The mind is such a powerful weapon--but only if you use it.

This is common if you haven't been forgiven for your sins. God will forgive you and wipe your sins away, and take your fears away as well. I don't mean to preach but I used to feel the same way.

It depends on what is in your past and what your fears are. If you will take those things to God in prayer, He is able to help you get through it. I hope that you do believe in God. If you don't, I pray that you will get to know Him.
