I asked a question previously about christian and why they are so happy. I see how christians are different and wanted to feel their joy. I got some good answers, but I tried to contact some who gave good answers for more information and could not get a reply from them but once.

So I will ask here.
What set your god apart from other gods?
What is work of your god?
Why should I believe in your god?
You cannot see your god. Why do you still believe in him?
Pray? Hmm? Your god does not reply. Why pray then?
Even know there is no evidence your god exist, why still believe your god exist? You have no reply, cannot see him, cannot hear him. Why belive?

Very very very very confused?

Do not say go to church because I cannot, and do not say read your bible because I have none. The bible i looks up online make absolutely no sence. They are fairy tales. Make-believe. Why do you belive what it says?

What sets your god apart from other gods?
- The true God, the Christian God is alive and wants us to get to know Him.

What is work of your god?
- God created everything, and keeps the universe running. His work involves giving people a desire to know Him. That is why you are asking questions, so you can learn about Him. He is giving you the desire to know Him. He also forgives sin (wrong-doing) and can change our lives and give us joy, peace and comfort. He does many other things as well, such as provide things we need, and help us solve problems in our lives..

Why should I believe in your god?
- He created us and loves us. True peace and fulfillment in life are only found in Him.

You cannot see your god. Why do you still belive in him? Even know there is no evidence your god exist, why still believe your god exist? You have no reply, cannot see him, cannot hear him. Why belive?
- We can't see Him, but there is evidence that He exists. For example - we can't see the wind, but we know it exists because we can see its effects - like we can see the trees moving and see things being picked up and carried by the wind. The fact that the world exists shows there must be a God. When we see how orderly all the planets and stars are, and all the intricate designs of so many things in nature, that is evidence that Someone must have designed these things. Just like if you see a watch, all the pieces of it couldn't have just arranged themselves to make a watch that works. It had to be designed by someone. Also, the fact that we as humans each have a conscience show He exists. People have a sense of right and wrong. God gave that to us, and people in all cultures have that.

Pray? Hmm? Your god does not reply. Why pray then?
- God does reply. Maybe you haven't heard Him yet or seen evidence of a reply, but He does answer prayer. If you truly desire to know Him, ask Him to reveal Himself to you, and He will. You might not understand everything at once, but He will help you to understand His ways and know Him.

I hope at least some of what I have said here helps.

Don't give up! God says in the Bible that if we search for Him, we will find Him, and He will reward us for seeking Him.

It will be my pleasure to answer your questions. But..I want you to keep an open mind,OK. 1. What sets God, Jesus Christ apart from lies, idols is everlasting life. Favor, mercy, and grace. 2. Work for my god is nothing. There is nothing he can't handle nothing! 3. The very fact that your questioning these things, is a great sign, that the Lord is knocking on your heart! 4. Do you see your headaches, or your stomach aches; but you feel them right? When you go to the doctor when your pain, can he see your pain? No...But that's not to say you don't feel it. Faith, Faith, look up the word. 5. The thing about pray is, we want the out come to be exactly what we want! But God's out come is what we need. There is a big difference! The things in life that we desire are not all good and right for us. My God only wants the best for you, and so when he does answer prays, its not what we are use too, what we wanted, so we don't accept the reply. 6. Faith, mercy, grace.!!!
The bible online...hmmmmm, it figures. Why online; do you have one on hands? If so start from the beginning and read 2 pages a night, want some help?

My Jesus offers salvation by His mercy and grace. He is God who came down to the earth to make sure that my and your ransom for our sins is paid full and to teach how to have a personal relationship with God and also love others. No other belief system offer savior God like in true Christianity. All other beliefs make you pay for your salvation by deeds.

My God is the Creator of this universe.

So that you can have a personal realtionship here and then He wakes you up after you die and you can spend eternity with Him in the place where there is no pain and suffering, and we live in perfect understanding and harmony.

My God is like a sun, you cannot look at Him directly but wthout it you cannot see anything else. You can ask His Holy Spirit in your heart, and have the guidance. He communicates with us with His Word, the Bible, people in our life and different circumstances.

He still answers to prayers. Sometimes the answer is no.

We have His Word. We have the personal relationship. We have a lot of proof around us. Everyone does not see it.

Ask the Holy Spirit of God into your heart to guide you.

Jesus is a real person and He confirmed the Old testament. The New Testament is very realiable. You have a choice to make. I wish you choose Jesus. He is the way and the truth and the life, and if you want to live with God in eternity, Jesus is the only way, so you might want to give it a change.

Hi Dawn :>) Wow what a complex question, but a very good one. The thing that set my God apart from the others is he revealed himself to me in many way's. He has healed me from many sickness, he literally saved my life in many occasions. No one can get you to believe in our God, the only thing I can do is Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal him to you. I am not going to be sarcastic and say you don't want to know because obviously you do or you would not have asked. You are right I can-not see him with my eyes, but I know he is alive and real, I can feel him around me and he does speak to me and his children, he said my sheep hear my voice, The very fact that he has done so many things with in my family, my life, taken the hate out filled me with so much joy, I could go on and on. God does always reply, sometimes we can not hear him because we need to get into a place where we can be with him, and allow him to speak. I will Pray for you that God does reveal himself to you in a way that you know beyond any doubt he exists.

I am very sorry that you got no response when you wrote to some of the answerers, & i''m also very asorry that your parents wont let you have a Bible,

there is your key, all the answes are in there, there were 40 + men who wrote the book, all in differsent eras &ages, yet it is all about the same thing, One saviour, One lord.

it cant be by coincedince. + i do know him. when i was saved, it felt like a load offf my back. i felt clean , i was an awful person. lived a bad life. But God sent his Son to die for just me. & he would've died just for you too.

no , you may not realize that he's here, but when someone answers you like this, this is the work of God, when someone tells you God loves you, this is the work of God, when you see a newborn baby;, this is the work of God, when you see thunder &lightening in the sky, the clouds the mountains, all the beauty , this is the works of God, he's here, & HE's on the throne.

one day, soon, we as believers will be "caught up in the air" to be w/him. forever, & forever. I wish you had a Bible.

it really explains everything, &does not contradict itself, God will reveal himself to you,

Just look.

My God is set apart from other gods because he always has been, is and always will be. All other gods are merely idols. And my God is different because he is the only God who seeks to draw near to the lowliest sinner, out of love.

The work of my God is redemption, healing, power over life and death, resurrection, dying for me out of love, love, peace beyond understanding, creation, restoration, invitation, reconciliation, and on and on...

Those things alone tell you why you *should* believe, but I can't tell you to believe in my God. That is your own faith journey to discover. I can only tell you that believing in my God has made a difference in my life, and the lives of myriad other believers, in a very real way.

You cannot see air, yet you breathe it in -- do you believe in it? You can't see the wind, only the evidence of it. I believe even though I have not seen God, but I have read his love letter to the world, and it tells me I will be blessed for believing, and I have been!

Yes. I pray. I believe God does reply and answer prayer. Sometimes we don't like the answer, at first. Sometimes God says, "wait." But how do you know he does not reply? You say you don't believe in God, but then expect him to reply? I find that confusing...

I won't tell you to go to church. I won't tell you to read the Bible. At this point in your life, it does not seem that you are in a teachable moment, and would not be open to what you would experience, hear and read. That's ok. What I will do is pray that you will meet a person that is Jesus on earth to you, by their works and love showing you his realness. And I will pray that your eyes and ears will be opened to the reality of what that means to you personally. And I will pray that God will reveal himself to you in a real way.

I first believed what the Bible says after I read Old Testament prophecies about Jesus, and then reading the New Testament and seeing how those prophecies had been perfectly fulfilled. No one could fake that.

I also believe in God because Jesus was a real person on this earth, and he told people around him about God. I believe what Jesus says.

So many questions and so little time. I will tell you that finding a Bible in an easy to read translation may help- try the message paraphrase, it is easy to understand. Also, God does reply to me through the Holy Spirit. Once you accept a relationship with Christ the Holy Spirit becomes your guide through all of this.... It is alot to grasp at first. God loves you and wants more than anything to develop a relationship with you. I will open my email so you can ask more if you are interested.

Unlike all other religions, Christianity alone possesses a founder who transcends death and who promises that His followers will do the same. All other (false) religions were founded by men and prophets whose end was the grave. As Christians, we take comfort in the fact that our God became man, died for our sins, was killed, and was resurrected the third day. The grave could not hold Him. He lives and He sits today at the right hand of God the Father in heaven. The living church has a living Head

What sets God apart from other gods, dear one is that God is the ONLY god! He said, "I AM the Alpha and the Omega. The Beginning and the End. Beside me, there are no other gods!"

"What is work of your god" ?? God created all there is! Is that enough "work" for you?

"Why should I believe in God." You shouldn't, unless He calls you, dear one! You CAN'T unless He calls you!

"You cannot see your god, why do you believe in him"?? We don't have to see to believe, sweet girl. We know what we know because He has made Himself VERY real to us! He has called us to become His own and that is how we know He exists. He HAS given us evidence!

I'm sure you're still confused, but read His Word, the Bible and you might be able to gain some clarity!

God bless!

Why can't you get a Bible?
Our God is different because He rose from the dead. His work was creating the universe. You should believe in Jesus because He died to pay the penalty for your sins so that you don't have to pay for them in hell for eternity. We can't see God, but we can see all around us all that He has created. He most certainly does answer the prayers of those who believe in Him. If you can get a New King Jamse Version on line, read the New Testament. Ask God to reveal Himself to you. Ask Jesus to come into your life. I did this many years ago and He changed my life completely for the better and helped me in countless ways.
I don't want to make this too long but one key verse is John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." I'll pray for you.
