I've read a lot of arguments on yahoo answers concerning belief in the bible and religion, but that's not what true Christianity is about. What it's really about is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It's an intimate relationship and that's the most important thing to me. We all have a need to share that intimate part of ourselves with someone, but find that no one truly understands us, or can betray our trust. It's that part of myself that I only share with God, nobody knows my true self, not even my husband. Only God, who hears our most private and intimate thoughts. Converting to Christ, is about asking Jesus to come into your heart, to be your personal friend and Savior. "Behold! I stand at the door (your heart) and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him/her, and she/he with me. (Revelation 3:20). You can quote me!

god may decide who goes to heaven but since hell is not part of his "kingdom" he cannot send anyone there...
that would be like the president of France sending criminals to US prisons.

and...
if Satan was an angel and he revolved against god...why are we humans supposed to cope with a being not even god was able to "tame"???

hey everyone. i hope youre all having a good weekend. I have been upset lately about something. So far being a Christian has been pretty easy, but its begining to get tougher. God has recently put something on my heart to share with others that i dont want to do. i once was caught in filthy sin that i felt i couldnt get out of alone, so i looked to God. He totally purified me and helped me to repent. He took an unclean person and made her clean. Naturally, i want to repay Him for what He's done for me. The problem is I am very embarassed of what i once was and dont feel comfortable exploiting myself. i want to be a Christian so badly and I fear that i am sinning, and unable to repent because i will never bring myself to do what God wants. I wish God's will was easier. I mean, I know that God's will doesnt always agree with ours, but how do i get myself to do God's will. How can i come closer to Him without doing this. And I know God's plan is to prosper us... (continued in details...)

Do you truly believe that children whom are aborted go to heaven, or is this a ploy by the church to make people feel better about it?

According to the Bible the sins of the father are on the child at birth, wouldn't this automatically revoke there rights into heaven?

On a side note if abortion truly let children into heaven automatically, wouldn't Satan want to stop it?

If you have gone through all of these questions and still come to the conclusion that children go to heaven once aborted, wouldn't it be kinder of you to abort your next child then give it a chance to live for Christ?

Forgive me for any obscenities , but I intend to make a point with flawless logic, God bless.

The one referred to in Genesis? Jesus was not belittling her---why would he dishonor his Mother against the Commandment? Catholics do not expect Mary to save them ---they expect Jesus to save them, but they honor their Mother.

Jesus Christ has healed me in many ways....my eyesight has improved, to name one.
It is amazing that the power of Jesus Christ, who walked 2,000 years ago, can manifest itself in your life today as if he had never left. Praise the Lord!
How has he healed you?

Why does the Judeo-Christian God have so many of mankind's weaknesses. Why would god have the personality of a selfish person who needs others to worship him? Seems arrogant?

Also it seems the God of the Old Testament has a different personality than Jesus, Did he have a split personality? How can god mature if he is perfect

functioning civilization ....

Would you give this species multiple languages, multiple systems of measurement, multiple forms of monetary currency, multiple calendaring systems, different types of electrical outlets around the world, proprietary software, multiple political ideologies, multiple divisions of General Motors, 50 different sets of alcoholic beverage laws?

And of course, would you HIDE, and allow religion develop in your unwise absence (splitting into 1,000 factions as expected under such ambiguous circumstances)?

Or would you KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)? Would you choose to make the world efficient instead, so the basics wouldn't interfere with humans adoring you?

Why would the same God,Yahweh, write and teach two different food laws one to Moses and the other to Mohammud concerning clean and unclean animals to eat as a food product? Did Mohammud follow the Jewish Kosher laws before God taught him the halal laws which would have evolved much later then Moses's time?

that killed the Lord Jesus because they thought they were smarter than Him and were self righteous?
He was (is) pure and Holy, the Son of the living God and they challenged Him? Talk about arrogancy-
He told them "you have made the word of God of none effect by your traditions-
They thought their opinions were above the Word of God-
The only ones Jesus rebuked were the religious people-
the true believers followed Him and listened to Him

A while back I was in an LDS bookstore and saw some decals that were meant to go on the bathroom mirror. they all had an inspirational quote or message. I did not get them (and could kick myself) and now I can't find them anywhere! I have been looking online for the last couple days and seem to be getting nowhere. Any ideas?

Why are Christians so quick to judge Rastas? Fundamentally, they have the same beliefs as Christians (minus the ganja and Selassie), and some Rasta groups don't think Haile Selassie is to be worshiped (12 Tribes of Israel, I believe). Some of these so-called 'Christians' have gone so far as to say that Rastafarians are "satanic"! Christians say that some Rastas are bad for praying to Selassie, but Rastafarians are no worse than Catholics (who pray to Mary, and every saint that the church has 'canonized')! I think, especially these days, it's the worst time for Christians and Rastas to be fighting. We should unite, for we worship Jesus. One love!

Banks give away toasters if you switch your account. Religions could give special gift rewards for conversions. What do you think?

If Roman Catholics are Christians, then why they have many other man-made traditions and doctrines?

For to be called a Christian means: a disciple, a believer, and a follower of Christ Jesus, Joh 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Joh 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
