You ask why are they here. Well where else should they be?
The have the right to believe what ever they believe, and even the right to speak out about it. The same way a person that believes in a established religion has the right to follow it's doctrine and even preach about it. That's what our country is so good for, of course that don't stop the ones who think every one should believe the way they do any more than it stops wind from blowing. The great thing is if I don't want to hear it I'm free to turn it off, walk away, or even start telling my beliefs to those that would listen. Are they right in their beliefs? Am I right in mine? I say believe what you will as long as it harms no one else. You start harming people then it's time to step in and stop you, prosecute them for their acts of violence not their beliefs. That's why we are in this mess, we are trying to stop the violence against other human beings, but politics are involved and politicians can screw up anything.
Why can't the different factions just believe what they want and let their neighbor believe what he wants? That question has been asked for so long I don't think anyone knows the answer anymore.

Why not? Religion & Spirituality also includes the lack thereof.
Besides, the evangelists would get bored if there was no one left to try to save.

I think it would be pretty dull if they were not here.
As much as some of them irritate me when they call me names and ask silly questions that are REALLY attacks, I like their input.
