Some people here say that Muslims kill people who refuse to convert.
Well, I don 't go door to door and murder people for the sake of that.
People are afraid of what they don't know or what they don't understand. When people see the bad part of something, they just want to see it destroyed.
Yeah, I bet that the things seen in Iraq scared the crap out of people who supported the invasion. Things are not always as they seem to be.
The Iraq tragedy was started by none other than the US.

There are two reasons it is the fastest growing religion;
1. Muslims are encouraged to have large families.
2. They spread their religion by taking over countries and implementing Islamic Law.
Many Muslims are afraid to leave Islam. Christian missionaries are taught to approach Muslims one at a time. If they talk to two or more Muslims nobody will entertain Christian ideas for fear of the others. There are very few sincere converts to or from Islam. Most were "born Muslim and will die a Muslim."
I have had some interesting Muslim friends, and they at least admire my knowledge of Islam and my concern for them. We have learned how to disagree without being disagreeable. When talking about religion from a Christian point of view, I have learned that the best offense is a good defense. You will get nowhere if you start out by attacking their faith. I have learned that the hard way...

Since all religions claim that the truth of anything can be obtained through faith, all religions are viruses of the mind that impair reason. It its extreme cases, religion affects people's minds and makes them severely irrational. One should be afraid of irrational people and their behavior. The antidote to the virus of religion is reason, but when it's full blown reason becomes ineffective and there is no cure.
Islam is similar to the perniciousness that Christianity was going through after the Fall of Rome up to the Renaissance. In the Middle Ages, Christianity was at its peak of irrationality and many crimes were committed in the name of the Christian God. Today, Christianity is similar to the ancient Pagan religion. It's a watered down mixture of secularism and perfunctory symbolic childish rituals. So tame it has become, by comparison to the virulence of the Middle Ages, that one could call it a "disease in remission," almost peaceful.
But Islam is not a mild viral case of the mind. The atrocities that are being committed in its name stand to attest that it is full of extreme deranged people, whose minds have lost all reasoning ability. They are dangerous and people of reason should be afraid.

Christians should not be afraid of anything, or anyone. For the Bible tells us in 2 Tim. 1:7, that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind. Islam may be a fast growing religion, but I am about as afraid of it as I am of a piss ant. I do not have to be afraid, and neither do you, or any other child of God. God promised to never leave us nor forsake us. His loving hand is always upon anyone who is a child of God, and his guardian angels are always right by our side.

Don't know where you got the impression that Christians are afraid of the Islamic cult. Afterall those bloodthirsty murderers will give an account of themselves on the judgement day.
As for differences between the Bible and the Koran see http://www.bcbsr.com/topics/islam.html

It is not Islam that Christians or any other faith fears. It is the extremists who claim Islam as a front to justify their actions and say that what they do is in the name of Allah. This is NOT Islam. God would not want such things. I know a few Muslims.........they are terribly misunderstood when it come to this sort of thing. Muslims are no different than Christians or Jews-we all have our good and bad.

I am not afraid of the religion. I am afraid of those in the religion that use their religion as an excuse to blow people up and I am afraid of those in the religion that dont bother to speak out against these actions. I am also afraid of those that support the use of suicide bombing (in several polls majority of palestinians did support it)
More islamic leaders need to be stepping forward and condmening the terrorists actions. If the entire christian community was constantly silent about groups of christians carrying out massive terrorists strikes there would be hell to pay, yet this religion seems to get a free pass. Why?

I am not a Christian nor Muslim, so my answer won't be biased by either faith. Christians only see the bad side of Islam in the media. They only see the few that completely hate Americans and kill innocent people on the street. However, many people should learn more. I admire the fact that in Islam, the women are so free.

Christians are not afraid of Islam. Christians view Islam as a blasphemy, and Muhammed as a false prophet who used the name of Jesus Christ to lend credibility to his satanic "religion".
Even if Islam were the fastest-growing religion, which the numbers don't support, that's not much of a selling point. There's really no safety in numbers when it comes to staying out of hell.
