Clover, what a sweet heart you have for the Lord! Hun, we all sin and fall short of His glory but, through prayer and His mercy, there is forgiveness!

Let Him down? Clover, do you know how much He rejoices over you? How much He loves you? He knew that you and I would sin even if we try not too...that is why we have Jesus! His Son! Turning away from the world, and keeping your heart and eyes upon the Lord, will help you to keep promises you make to your Mom, yourself and to God!

Seek Him, truly! Seek Him, in prayer, in scripture and remember that when you pray, Hun, you are basically just having a conversation with the ONE who created your soul and the ONE who will never leave you, forsake you nor, will He ever change! He is the same yesterday as He is today and will be tomorrow! What else in life can we truly say stays the same? God does! So does His forgiveness, love, mercy and grace, for all.

I am going to be praying for you and i want you to know that prayer is a very powerful tool, in the lives of we Christians! It is your tool too!

Blessings, Gail

Oh, Clover...
You have a tender heart for God and I know He loves that about you. You actually have a conscience....which a lot of people seem not to have anymore.
This is what I have learned...am still learning. When you ask God to give you direction in your life...He will, because He has promised that. (Prov. 3:6) Right now He wants you to do the best you can with whatever situation you are in....home, school, whatever. He can use you RIGHT THERE! He says,"Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do...do it with thy might." (Eccl. 9:10) Sometimes God has a few things to teach us while we are getting ready to do a bigger work for Him. You just learned one thing...about the drinking. Everybody sins and lets God down. He promises to forgive us if we repent and confess our sins. ( 1 John 1:9) The best thing to do is to read God's Word EVERY DAY...and you will see what He wants you to do...and not do....right in there. You can pray for God to open a door for you to do something more for Him...and He will. He sees the big picture and may not tell you everything about your life just yet. Just live for Him one day at a time. I will pray that you will stay close to Him.

God understands that b/c we are humans, we'll mess up. Its how we were created and designed, and thats why Jesus had to die for our sins and iniquities. In due time God will let you know what is divine plan is for your life. I too had that problem, what kind of talents do you have? Do you go to church and if so, are you activly working in the church? Ushering, youth committee stuff like that, sooner or later you will find you calling just don't give up the faith. Just because you fell into temptation doesn't mean you let any body down, no one is perfect. If we were we wouldn't need God. Find ways to make your life ineresting, join a group, create your own, find different things in the bible, learn about different religions. It says in the bible that you can't depend on man because they'll fall everytime...You and I are not perfect so no one can expect that from you and if they are...then they are wrong. As long as you live your life according to Gods word, then you are doing exactly what he asked you to do. If you really want something to do...become a prayer warrior...pray for those in need, I'm sure you have plenty of friends that may be going through this or that, make it a point to pray for them for five minutes or so everyday. Prayer makes a difference and if you can commit to something like that then maybe God will reveal to you what it is he has planned for your life.

You are only 14, you are putting a lot of pressure on yourself, learn from the alcohol thing and move on, it is inside of you to be a good person, but a lot of times it isn't easy, as far as what to do with your life, don't wait to hear a voice in your ear saying what to be, you have a long time to figure that out, and God will give you the strength to achieve whatever you want to do with your life when you do.

Elvi & slycotto : I don't believe this question was meant for you, don't know why you had to put your doubting ignorant answer in here, if you don't believe that's up to you, but leave others alone. You are not funny or helpful, just somebody with nothing better to do than be a pain.

At 14 you don't need to know what you're going to do with the rest of your life. If you let him God will show you the way. I don't think you'll be so open to God's answers if you're drunk. Please do some serious soul searching on why you feel the need to be drinking at such a young age, as a Mom that's scarier to me than the fact that you don't know what God wants you to do with the rest of your life. I think that as a child of God perhaps you should think about God's most famous child, Jesus. Maybe when you have a question about what you should do you should ask yourself the simple question "what would Jesus do" and follow His example. God understands that we are imperfect humans and we can't disappoint Him to the extent that He won't forgive us. He loves you unconditionally... And I bet your Mom does too. I'll pray for you.

Hi, I'm about 15 and almost have the same issue..Keep praying, god will eventually answer your prayers. Be patient and strong and no nothing is wrong with you. I do feel like god wants me to do diffrently also but remember, try your best in life. Aviod things that bring you harm in the future and always have the company of god by your side no matter what. You can't always make people around you proud of what you do, you would have some people disappointed by remember, no matter what you do god will forgive. Just try learning from your mistakes and overcome them by trying your best. If you dissapoint someone forget and show they you can be responsible.

I'm 14 too. I've been a born again Christian for about a year, and the only thing I can possibly think of doing with my life is being a missionary. Nothing else. I want to share the Gospel with people who have never heard it... I feel that having a normal job would do nothing of any good. I realize I have only 1 life to live, and I need to live it for God.

Before I was a born again Christian... I was a bad kid. I was pretty much the sluttiest girl in my school. Super short miniskirts, tight shirts that showed my stomach, stilleto heels, and tons of makeup and jewlry. The people I chose to be my friends were daredevils and made really bad decisions. I made some really bad choice then... but I was still able to turn my life around.

Don't get too discouraged. Whatever mistake you made can be forgiven, but to be forgiven, you have to change. Live for Him. Give your life to him, and he'll take away all of your sadness... believe me... I know.

Remember to pray!

May God show you what he wants you to do in your life! :)

Keep on praying...you know, about a year ago, I had the same problem. I wasn't sure what God wanted me to do in life, but I prayed about it, and I got a few answers. I'm not completely sure yet, but it's becoming clearer. I was really anxious to have answers but I decided to be patient and trust God, and then, all of a sudden, I found things I'm good at and ways I can help people using my talents. Everyone is good at something, you'll find out what your talent is...it may take a while, but you're young, be patient. Good luck!

A messianic Jew is a Jew that believes that Jesus is the Messiah. Christians and Messianic Jews believe that Jesus is the Messiah. They are Jews. The point of view of the anti Messianice Jews is best summed up by Mark JPAS when he said "it is acceptable to blend some degree of foreign spiritual elements with Judaism. The one exception is Christianity, which is perceived to be incompatible with any form of Jewishness. This is the double standard that is applied to Christianity even though Jesus is considered the Jewish Messiah in Christianity. Messianic Jews are looked at with even greater disdain. Why? its a cover for there own deviations from Judaism. Some Jews need to maintain a connection to Jewish family because they have deviated so much from traditional Judaism that many Orthodox question their Jewishness. They need find some way to distract attention because of there deviation from the Torah. This is done by pointing their finger at others to direct attention away from their own actions. You can't give yourself a title and expect that it makes you something. This is the argument that has been used against Jews that decide that Jesus is the Messiah. We are told that the mere belief of a different nature of God immediately invalidated a Jews Jewishness. At the same time Jews that become atheists, pantheists or stop practicing any element of their religion we are told are still Jews. They say that you can believe in anything but Jesus. Jews call conversion "joining the tribe". Things that would never fly in Orthodox or for that matter Messianic Judaism can be found in the Reform and Reconstructionist movements. A good example of this is a previous question asked here. The person asking worshiped the God Ferris but did not believe in him or the Jewish God. The focus of the question was" ...would you PERSONALLY feel comfortable welcoming me not just as a fellow congregant at your Synagogue, but as a member of the Tribe?" (so he was clearly asking about converting to Judaism). The response was "Reform Judaism covers a wide swath of beliefs and practices and I am sure you will be wholly accepted. ... I personally would accept you whole heartily as a fellow Jew." So some Jews will accept all kinds of deviations from the Torah but not belief in "Jesus". Let's not forget the Reform movement wanted to change the sabbath to Sunday to be more like Christianity. Most Messianic Jews are Torah observant yet you can become an atheist, stop practicing their faith, become a Buddhist, join a Unitarian Church and still be a Jew in the eyes of Reform/Reconstructionist Jews. Most Orthodox when asked about other Jews will say they don't know what non Orthodox Jews are. The same applies to the other sects. Speaking of sects Jews will tell you there are no sects but its not true. Rabbinical Jews follow an understanding of their faith that was established 1,900 years ago. They have their own canon of Scripture. There are also non Rabbinical Jews such as the Ethiopian Jews that follows the pattern of the Christian Old Testament and they have many additional books that they consider to be scripture. A group called the Karaites is the opposite of the Ethiopian and only believe in the 5 Books of Moses. Rabbinical Jews call Karaites "a sect of Judaism". You can goggle it and see for yourself. Don't let anyone tell you that there are no sects in Judaism. They say the the teachings of Jesus are very different from Judaism. They also claim that Jesus taught nothing new from the rabbis before him. Then they we tell you that there were no rabbis until a hundred years after the time of Jesus. Its all about winning the argument to them not about what's true. The problem is not differences but similarities. You should know ALL the writers of the Christian Bible were Jews but one. Much of our Scriptures are shared. The vast majority of early believers in Jesus were Jews. So when you hear the exact opposite you need to keep that in mind. A Jew can believe in Jesus and still be a Jew. Edit: those that make personal accusations should include links or shut up.
