Our worship team is singing this. Does anyone have harmony notes for the chorus that really seem to work? Would love you to hear any suggestions you have. Thanks!

My husband and I were baptised in 2002 and saved then also through The Chruch of Christ. We somehow haven't been attending church regularly. I believe that you must walk with Jesus to get to heaven and God.

However I would like to know about other religions. It doesn't hurt one to learn something new. Would you please name a religion and tell a little about it (who they worship and why, etc) if someone has already named one religion then maybe you can name another one.

I was raised on only knowing thing's from the Bible and through Church of Christ and thats just how it was... so I am ignorant when it comes to other religions and would liek to have the chance to know about them.

Thank you!

I heard a lot of people talk about Catholics.... Just because we were the church that everyone else branched off of...... You don't hear other Catholics discriminate against other catholics.

I just got a visit from the sweetest little Mormon boys. My husband and myself were baptised through the Church of Christ and Saved in 2002. Since then we haven't been regularly attending church. I am open to all churches that believe in God and Christ. I believe that you are suppose to Follow Christ to be led to God.

Is Mormon beliefs alot differant from the church I were baptised in? I know they mentioned a man by the name of Joseph Smith who was killed in the 1800's who was said to have had God come to him. But what else is there? I am ope to any church that believe's God, like I said... But I have been raised through Church of Christ my entire life and have never been to another church before. But I sent my son to a Baptist church bible school over the summer and a church of Christ bible school. So I am pretty open. Would we fit in as Mormons?

Catholic people say that “Pope John Paul II actually publicly asked God to forgive the Catholic Church of all the sins committed against other human beings.” Do they not know that he is the same Pope who accepted evolution to be part of gospel truth, even though the book of Genesis says that God created man? He is also the same Pope who gathered 160 leaders of the world’s 12 major religions. Do they know what religions these were? They where not Christian religious leaders. They where Snake Worshipers, Fire Worshipers, Sprites, Animist, Muslins, Hindus, Buddhist, North American Witch Doctors; and John Paul II said on that day “we are all praying to the same god, our prayers are creating a spiritual energy bring about a new climate for peace.” On that day the Pope kissed the Muslim Koran, (a book that denies Jesus as the Son of God,) He allowed his friend the Dalai Lama to replace the cross with a statue of Buddha on the alter of St. Peters Church in Assisi, and for the Dalai Lama and

Either your god is all loving and crap like that,

OR

You go to hell/not go to heaven, abandons people

Either he's a merciful god or,

He kills LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of people in the bible.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

We allow other religions to infringe upon our country, which was founded on God. We allow them to take away our religious freedoms, and force their false God's on us. I believe we are in true peril!

Genesis 3:14: "And the LORD God said unto the serpent... dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life"

I've been giving my pet snake dust, but he won't eat it. The people at the pet store tell me he'll only eat small rodents.

So, did God decide that snakes could eat real food like mice and hamsters? I can't seem to find that part anywhere in the Bible, and I don't want God to smite me for feeding the wrong type of food to my snake.

Imagine if marriage was not recognized or even banned. Yes I know that is a crazy thougth. What if humans reproduced similar to animals? What if men left the women to take of the children all on their own? Yes I know there are some women not fortunate enough to have a husband to help out and I know there are some women that choose to not have the fathers of their children get involved. I am not speaking against that. I am just asking that if there was no such thing as marriage whould men take responsibility for the children they father? Do you think men and women would choose to live together if the concept of marriage never existed?

Many churches teach this, but the Bible says that no man can “accept” Christ because all men are spiritually dead:
We read in Ephesians 2:1 And you hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.

The problem is that the Bible declares that man is spiritually dead in sin and totally incapable of mustering up faith in himself to salvation:
And there is none that calleth upon Thy Name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of Thee:… (Isaiah 64:7)
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. (Romans 3:11)
No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw him:… (John 6:44)

God has written the Bible in order to bring us to a knowledge of our wretched condition; and also to show us that salvation is absolutely not within man’s ability to achieve. God Himself must do all the work in the matter of saving the sinner:

Reasoning on this, it is easy to see that a curse upon snakes would be highly unfair. The snake had done nothing wrong. If a man were to use a puppet to somehow pick someone’s pocket, would the puppet be arrested? That would be absurd. The same principal applies here. So Jehovah was talking not to the physical snake but to that person who had used the snake as a puppet. He told that person that he was “cursed above all cattle, and above every beast.” Cattle are creations, just as snakes are creations. In the extraterrestrial realms, all angels--whether cherubim or seraphim or whatever--are creations. So Jehovah had here cursed the person we know as Satan the Devil to being forever cursed worse than any other creation. It was said that “upon thy belly shalt thou go.” Ergo, he would forever be opportunistic, ever conspiring to bring down Jehovah God in some sordid way. He would eat “dust,” a very cryptic remark. So who was made from “dust”? The people. His time would be in fooling us.

Nobody can dispute the fact that things like worshiping the wrong God, working on the Sabbath, and thinking your neighbor's spouse is cute should be criminal offenses.

What better way to make them criminal offenses than to amend the Constitution?

I had this friend who was always picking on me. Or just saying some really rude stuff to me- that I did not appricate. Anyway, in the past, when she does this sort of thing, I start to distance myself from her (Still be nice- but realize, I don't need someone like her in my life), and she start acting nice again and we become some what friend again and the cycle continues. Anyhow, several weeks ago, she became really jealous and paranoid. I decided then and there that I was no longer going to be friends w/ her. So, when she started being nice again (part of the cycle) I was civil, but for the most part chose to ignore her. She has finally gotten the message and stopped being so nice. So my questions are, as a christain is it bad to ignore someone and actually feel good about it (I like the fact that she realize- that she couldn't treat me like that and come crawling back. 2- as a christain how much do you have to take from people?

If we have sex with a married person..... is this reasonable?
If we eat fried chicken and steak everyday....is this reasonable?
If we hate a person so much, we are like poison to ourselves...is this reasonable?
If we abuse others by words and actions...is this reasonable?
If we waste money on pornography then fall behind on bills...is this reasonable?

I am not stating the previous examples are all sins, but it points out our daily activities aren't that reasonable in light of health and morality.
Many atheists state theism isn't reasonable. I say, many things in life we do---aren't reasonable. If this life is lived in an unreasonable way (and we all do), how can we reject religion on the grounds of reason--as unreasonable?

Ive been doing a college thesis on the psychological analysis of violent behavior. Are you a serial killer ? Do you kill or torture animals repetitiously ? Do you wonder why you do it ? Are you reclusive ? Have you been wronged repeatedly or were you abused sexually as a child ? Do you feel inward convictions of respect for the physical welfare of others falling away ? Are you addicted to porn ? Do you feel a deep hatred for women for any reason ? If you are a serial killer..you could be much more important if you turned yourself in to the authorities and confessed. You would be able to get the recognition you crave and the help you deserve.
