I just got a visit from the sweetest little Mormon boys. My husband and myself were baptised through the Church of Christ and Saved in 2002. Since then we haven't been regularly attending church. I am open to all churches that believe in God and Christ. I believe that you are suppose to Follow Christ to be led to God.

Is Mormon beliefs alot differant from the church I were baptised in? I know they mentioned a man by the name of Joseph Smith who was killed in the 1800's who was said to have had God come to him. But what else is there? I am ope to any church that believe's God, like I said... But I have been raised through Church of Christ my entire life and have never been to another church before. But I sent my son to a Baptist church bible school over the summer and a church of Christ bible school. So I am pretty open. Would we fit in as Mormons?

I am an x Mormon...I love the Mormon people, but they have some very wrong beliefs...the one that toOK me and my family out of the church was this...the Mormons believe all their men can become as great as, .......and equal with...... God and that they them self's will be gods and have there own plant and many wife's, much like here on our earth...so even though they believe in God and Jesus they think that one day they ( only the men ) will all be sitting around a table equal to and a god themselves discussing ...whatever.... and having many spirit children to send down to their planet just as we are, here on earth...I could go on and on ...please email me...I will give you a lot more....in fact I have a good web sight for you , but have to call my son to get it......please stay away from the "elders" ( boys), they have been trained to milk feed you in ...it all looks good .... but........run.............. ok I'm back...type in Ed Decker...and go to search...he will answer ALL you questions....with the truth.

Having this question on Y!answers will bring out a lot of "anti-mormons" - people who seem to think there's nothing better to do than to degrade & lie about the LDS church. Please take any answers you get as opinions (good or bad) & keep searching other information from the church to find out for yourself.

We are very much centered in Christ, he is our Savior & God's son - although a lot of people say we aren't Christians (because we don't have crosses displayed throughout our churches). Our Book of Mormon is not about Mormon (an old-time prophet), but is about Christ's gospel & the people here in the Americas. We do have a living prophet today - because God will never abandon his children & stop giving us instruction.

You asked if you will fit in as Mormons - Yes, if you decide that you would like to join our church you would be welcomed with open arms. If you just want to visit our church, please do. If you research & pray and decide for any reason not to join, that's okay, it's your choice - just keep worshiping God & His Son Jesus Christ & you will be on the right path.

K...you'll get slammed with the responses from the Mormon haters........sorry.

Mormons are devout christians and believe in the Bible. The study from it regularly. There are lots of Christian churches. They all teach of Christ, yet none of them agree 100% with the rest.

Take it to the Lord. All of the Christian churches can't be true if they're teaching conflicting "truths".

Read the Book of Mormon, and pray to God sincerely to know if it is true or if it is false. God loves you and will answer your sincere prayer.

You can go to our websites and learn all about what we believe. The biggest difference between us and other Christian churches is our belief in extra Biblical scripture, living prophets and apostles, and continueing revelation from God to us, thru His prophets.

Read the Book of Mormon carefully and prayerfully. If you can accept that it is the word of God, just like the Bible (we consider both to be the word of God) and then accept that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, then you would fit in nicely.

Good to see you had this missionary experience. The missionaries will be happy to discuss various topics in more detail. The first principle that they want to impart is that God lives and still communicates with us. He uses the same method He always has through prophets. Joseph Smith was one such man. We have a living prophet today. Ask the missionaries how you can hear him next weekend at General Conference. If you hear the words of a prophet, you can better decide if what he says is true.

Yes, you would fit in with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because you have Christ at the head of your belief. Log on to lds.org, explore, and visit the several sites that include the scriptures we use, common questions and answers, and Gospel principles that are our foundation under Christ.

You can order a free Book of Mormon should you choose to do so and have it delivered to you by those same sweet missionaries. Always keep prayer strong in your family and your heart with the desire to know the truths of the Gospel.

stay away from them. They do not think Jesus is God. They think if you are really a good Mormon then when you die you get to go be God of your own planet but, just the men---the women basically get squat. They think Satan and Jesus are brothers---I mean they couldn't get any worse.
