I plan on opening a pagan shope and also making it a place for pagans to get supplies and advise. If I don't have it I'll find a way to get it for you.But I would like to hear the publics point of view first. Thank You.

or anything related to God when something happens? Like "what the hell?" or "Jeeeeees-us!" or "God damn it"? I'm not trying to get smart or anything, but if you do and you don't believe in it then why say it? Just curious... and please be nice... :)

I know it's a sin to curse or use God's or Jesus's name in vain, but it's just a question.

in a horrible existence that you couldn't get out of, who would you call for help: GOD or Rumpelstiltskin?

How do you respond to the door-to-door evangelists?

I used to be rude or simply say "no thank you", but lately I've been going out to sit on my porch and listen. I generally only do this after I've explained that I'm an atheist and they express they still wanna talk which is what happened about 95% of the time.

I never tell them they're full of crap or anything. I generally answer questions about atheism though, especially when they have a misconception about it. Or if it's a sect I'm not familiar with I'll ask questions. This is how I learned that Mormons don't really believe in hell which I found beyond interesting.

So how about the rest of you? How many of us are polite and how many are rude?

What about the believers? When you guys get door-to-door evangelists do you sit around and visit or when they realize you're "saved" do they just go to the next house?

Salaam,
First of all let me tell you Happy Ramadan. I hope fasting is going well for you and your family. I have a question about Allah. Is it true when a lightning or thunderstorm hits that Allah is warning everybody that the Day of Jugdement is coming near?

I know that you beliefs about blood tranfusions are considered wrong, because God said that the soul is in the blood. I was wondering, scince I have had a blood tranfusion if you would see it like I was carrying somebody eleses soul? I am also a Christian so I am not poking fun at all. I am just curious.

I'm 20 years old and had a phone reading with Sylvia Browne July 2, 2007. I'm still waiting on some events to come true within the next few months, but I have two questions:

1) Have you had a phone reading with her (at what age) & what came true?

2) Have you asked her a question at all (i.e., Montel, HayHouse)

People talk about the problems in the middle east and blame it on religion. Nothing could be further from the truth. Politics is the real problem. It is a political problem, not religious and even if religion were the problem, it isn't Christianity that's to blame. It's Islam.

There would still be war without religion and we would still have suicide bombers. These problems would not go away. It's all about politics.

Agree?

Some christians post that they believe things which are against there faith are a work of fiction.

Why do you think satan exists? Sure bad things do happen by what do you have to think of these things in human terms with human charecteristics. Can't we just understand random occurences for what they are?

Like if your family member dies of a drug problem, why would someone say it is done by a literal being named satan. Isnt it much more complicated than that, and the only person involved is the person with the drug problem and their own circumstances.

Same with a car accident, if u get in a highway accident isnt it just bad luck and has nothing to do with "satan"

Most (not all) of those who are rich, educated, with large close-knit families and large homes are usually happy because they don't have to worry about anything. I know very rich women with beautiful children who get up at 9:00 a.m. and then go get their nails done. But some poor women and men have to get up at 3:30 a.m. and drive 50 miles just to get to work and be all stressed out and angry when they get home.

So why do the happy, rich person have a better shot of going to heaven, just because their lives are perfect?

One can have standards and behave morally without the threat of eternal damnation. We all know that most people believe in God yet it hasn't made much of a dent in deterring bad behavior. Atheists don't believe in God, heaven or hell, Why aren't the jails filled with these Godless heathens?

Ted Haggard was a God fearing bible thumping leader of a mighty church, and it didn't stop him from doing drugs and cheating on his wife with another man.

Morality is in the hearts and minds of people it can not be coerced into existence.

Is fear of hell the only thing keeping you from killing, raping, and stealing? If you learned today that there was no God, would you run rampant in the streets and begin a life of debauchery? You probably would if God was the only reason you behaved.

Matthew 25:14-30

It's the parable of the talents... I read it this morning, and I want to know how others interpret it, since Jesus did not explain this one like He did with the parable of the sower. What do the talents represent? life? or spiritual gifts? And the hidden talent would be... like an attitude of a person who's wrapped up in themself? and the last servant would be a selfish Christian? it cant be unbeliever, for he says 'i knew you' or something like that. And what about the faithful servants? they would be....? and then, put in charge of .. ? im just extremely curious. Thanks.

Why is it that in this day and age people readily accept the stories in the Bible and other holy books....

A woman is impregnated by god;a virgin no less
All of jesus' miracles:healing sick people by just touching them, raising people from the dead, walking on water, turning water to wine, Jesus himself being resurected

Have you ever seen something like these things happen? Of course not, its impossible. So why do we accept today that these things happened? Doesnt it seem just a little irrational?

The leaders of the church teach that women are powerful and divine individuals, with great potential and ability to change the world, but many of the uneducated within the culture believe that the divine potential stops at getting married and having kids, and that the way to change the world is through raising up a righteous generation. As a single woman that is unable to have children, I know that I have other divine potential than becoming a mother (as great as that may be). How do I both communicate that there is something else out there for me to acheive, and figure out what that is? The cultural answer is to find a husband and adopt kids. What is the doctrinal answer? How do I continue in strength of doctrine, in a culture that teaches that I am useless?
