People talk about the problems in the middle east and blame it on religion. Nothing could be further from the truth. Politics is the real problem. It is a political problem, not religious and even if religion were the problem, it isn't Christianity that's to blame. It's Islam.

There would still be war without religion and we would still have suicide bombers. These problems would not go away. It's all about politics.

Agree?

Because it's easier to stomach than the real problem: our own egos and our own laziness.

I feel that religion is of the upmost personal importance to many people. And as such, people get emotional about their respective religion. In the event that others don't agree with or contend against their religion there is a strong likelihood that a confrontation will occur. Fact is, religion has been the root cause of wars and genocides over the millenia, i.e., The Crusades, Holocaust, 'ethnic cleansing' in areas such as Bosnia and Rhiwanda in the early '90s, etc. True, government policies in a variety of countries has contributed to horrible events as mentioned, but these events all share a theme based on religious conflict.

It's been a reality that modern, westernized governments have addressed the possible problems regarding a lack of religious freedom over the last half century. And by that I mean an underlying fear exists that violence and possible deaths will result from future religious conflicts. It's not really by accident that the dogmatic attitude towards a single superior religion has dampened a lot in North America over the past 50 years. For example, schools, businesses, and governments offices are much more sensitive in regards to respecting people's various religious beliefs. Many updated laws have been introduced during this time that make it a crime to discriminate a person based on that person's religious views. A single religion may not be endorsed over other religions where a group of people with various attitudes regarding religions may gather as mentioned above.

Have you traced your history of Christianity back to the Roman days when Christianity simply had only a cult following? If it weren't for Constantine who ordered Christianity as the 'States Religion', Christianity wouldn't be the world religion that it is today. It possibly could have fizzled out to nothing.

So the government (politics) and religion have been intermingled ever since the Roman Empire many centuries ago.

I do not think that only ONE; whether it be politics or religion, can solely be blamed. Why did many European comes to America?? Because in the 1600 - 1700 they were being religiously persecuted for their beliefs at home. Most European nations at the time believed that Christianity was the one true religion.

Why don't you do a little more research instead of finding your own personal scapegoat; Islam. Why don't you become an indepedent thinker and leave religion out of your decisions?

Agree. It is politics. sometimes religious perspectives have some sway. but mainly poslitcs. land, power, oil. At one time we were allies with bin Laden - gave him arms and such - then pissed him off by not supporting him further. He has used certain radical philosophies to help recruit people to his cause but it is really politics. Even the old wars and such that were blamed on one religion or another you can see are land and power issues (with a couple exceptions) - just have a religious overtone to them. But the same wars would have happened if there would have been different religions - or no religion- behind them.

The question you asked is "Why do people blame relgion for everything? The answer is because that's what people do. Blame others, something, anything, for their failings.

Every group that has ever existed blames something, or someone else for why their lives are not as good as they should be. It's called scapegoating. The Nazi's had theirs. The Chinese dump baby girls. The USA has it invented subclass of society called "the mentally ill." Christians blame the homosexuals for the demise of traditional marriages in the US. Men blame women for all that's wrong with their lives, and women blame men. Politicians and psychologists blame religion. Clergy blame politics. But it's really sin, inside of all of us, that causes our lives to fail. Adam blamed Eve. Eve blamed Satan. And for doing that, they lost all their perks and had to go do hard labor. And then, kids were being raised by sinners. So now, we blame our parents too. And to make it all worse, often it is anothers fault. So, God gave us all one scapegoat we could blame all our problems on. He could do that. Because it was His own self, and His own decision, and He knew He'd fix it after that scapegoat died in the place of whomever's fault it is. That is what is just so great about Jesus. It's our fault really.

Ultimately some people want to terminate Islam and Muslims by blaming them untruthful reasons...cuz they know that Islam is fastest growing religion in the world...
There were no religion war before 1400 cuz muslims of ruler..
the religion war started in spain after 1400 by christians (CHRISTIAN HOLY WAR) they killed millions of muslims and forced them to convert thier religion and they burnt more than one million qurans and many other islamic books...so now they have started it in different way but intention is same and when any muslim stands against them they call him a terrorist and say islam is reason.....God Sees Truth But Waits

no actually islam is NOT the blame. in islam, killing one person is just as bad as killing the entire human race.. how can people who actually state that they are muslims and that they believe in islam go on and kill hundreds of people?? hwo can they hold this weight on their shoulders on judgement day, i dont know. but the extremist everybody sees are not muslims because to be a muslim, you have to live in a way that you kind of emit love out to the world. prophet mohammed (peace be upon him) said that smiling is a good deed. SMILING :)!! how can people go around pretending that they are muslims though they are not. that is hypocritisy and that is one of the biggest sins.
people are so uninformed about islam.. they believe what the government wants them to believe. in fact, i personally believe that people are brainwashing normal muslims into being horrible and making them think that if tehy act out their cruel plans, they will go to heaven. as i said before, how can someone carry the weight of hundreds of worlds full of people on thier back and then expect to go to heaven all free of charge??
islam is a religion of peace. the actual arabic WORD islam comes from the word salam, which means peace.
i hate it when people diss religion, especially when people make fun of christian beliefs. honestly, where's the RESPECT???\
anyway i hope i changed the way some people think about islam. you really have to read about it from proper books. i've got a really good book called 'a brief illustrated guide to understanding islam' or something. i think the websute is www.islam-guide.com but im not sure...
anyway byee xoxox

its there way of thinking that is to blame. If they thought rationaly without there religions then they would be able to live a life without a religious purpose. No more reason for the religious wars which are happening.

yet a number of those loopy human beings does not have been loopy in the event that they weren't indoctrinated with illiberal ideals taught with the aid of those so-suggested as non secular leaders. So specific faith is responsible. And God and faith are 2 separate numerous issues. If there even is a God, whose god might it is. might it is the Abrahamic God, The Hindu God, Zues.....no person even knows. and each faith thinks they're a hundred% superb while no person knows something for specific. So lower back, faith is responsible.
