I was a Christian when I was in high school and I only became one then because I was pressured into it. It was never really in my heart. The little group called "Lighthouse" turned out to be a Christian fanatic type cult where the "leaders" would tell us one thing and then do it right in front of our faces. Many 'so-called' Christians that I have met along the way have done the same exact thing which is why I'm still turned off by the religion. After leaving Christianity behind, I felt free and liberated. Not living my life by a book made me feel as if the chains I had been wearing were finally unlocked. I've always been a good-hearted person and I now realize that being in a religion won't make me a better person than I already am.

I tried very hard to believe and did so in several different faiths. No matter what I did, I could not believe. I found all of the christian faiths I tried oppressive towards women and demeaning.

My life without religion is much better, I am happier...

I was raised by some very lazy protestants LOL!

So it wasn't really hard for me to come to understand that the bible has way too many unanswered questions and contradictions.

I don't think the vastness of our universe and our humanity can be explained by one book.

So I live a happy, loving, spiritual life without all the silly rules and regulations of organized religion. =)

Let's see... I was ostracized in school because I accepted evolution. That's why I'm an atheist now. Christianity is ridiculous, and I'm glad to be free of it.

Hmm...

I suppose I never really joined; I just went to a lot of their club meetings and thought, "What the...?"

I think it is ridiculous to base your life on fanciful suppositions and tales of a monstrous god who kills children.

But I'm told I am a "fool" for thinking so. Hee hee hee.

Not leading a Christian life--I was miserable.

NOW I have God on my mind, in my songs, in my prayers.

I wake up with God on my mind--praying during the day--trying to reach out to others.

HE CHANGED MY ATTITUDE TOWARD PEOPLE.
I LOVE PEOPLE!!!
He loves me and I love Him.
