Why would you want to cheat people out of their money selling magic spells and items that aren't real?

Seeing I used to live in Brooksville I can tell you that there are several shops between Brooksville and Clearwater. You might want to check on The Witch's Voice under merchants/shops to see who your competition would be.
Also if I can make a suggestion. I had a friend open a shop in Deltona and I helped her out during the first couple of years and we found that a shop that specializes in a very limited product line does very poorly. We changed her shop around to a gift shop that carried herbs and candles and I understand that she has moved for the 3rd time into a much bigger space.
So take this information into consideration when you are building your business.

I think it may be a better idea to post this in the business section of Yahoo Q&A, because there you can get lots of advice about opening a business, and specifically about opening a pagan store. Also I'd speak with other owners of these types of stores to get advice from them, and also the Small Business Bureau in your area.
Also, to find out if your store would go over well in the area you're talking about in Florida, it would be a good idea (if you havent already) to get in touch with the wiccan/pagan community there to see how large they are, and if there is a need for such a store, etc.

I think its a great idea. Though what you really need to do is pole the people living in the area, not random people on the internet. You don't want trouble from the fundies. The only Wiccan store in my city was closed down due to trouble from fundies.
The other store that sells Wiccan/witch supplies is cleverly disguised as an import store so no one would know what it is unless they knew what they were looking for.

The first thing you need to do to start up a business is a marketing analysis. This means you need to figure out if your service is marketable to your area. Go out and actually ask people that live in Spring Hill if they'd welcome the idea. You'll have to include this in your business plan/proposal to get the financing you need.

If I lived in the area, I'd be thrilled to see it.
However, expect a lot of opposition to the idea from the Conservative Christians in your area.

I think it would be a great thing to do. We had one in my town, but the owners got greedy, and turned it into a restaurant, and blamed everybody else for its failure. If they had just left it alone, they would have been fine. Open your shop. We need more of them.
