If we have sex with a married person..... is this reasonable?
If we eat fried chicken and steak everyday....is this reasonable?
If we hate a person so much, we are like poison to ourselves...is this reasonable?
If we abuse others by words and actions...is this reasonable?
If we waste money on pornography then fall behind on bills...is this reasonable?

I am not stating the previous examples are all sins, but it points out our daily activities aren't that reasonable in light of health and morality.
Many atheists state theism isn't reasonable. I say, many things in life we do---aren't reasonable. If this life is lived in an unreasonable way (and we all do), how can we reject religion on the grounds of reason--as unreasonable?

Not many atheists will consider those to be reasonable.

The difference is that we have good reasons for thinking such behaviour isn't reasonable whereas some theists just have to fall back on "God says don't do this" without any real understanding as to why not.

The reason that theism is unreasonable though is because god doesn't exist, not because theistic morality is bankrupt (which it is).

Ultimately morality is the informal code of laws that makes our society work, it is entirely of human making (even if a god existed and handed down morals for us to follow it would still be a human judgement as to whether to follow them and that judgement is going to have to based on pre-existing human morality anyway).

The idea that a god is required for morality just makes no sense.

and then I don' t think it's reasonable to assume we came from nowhere (evolution) and we would have any morals at all. An "evolved creature" that is just purely developing for the sake of survival would have most likely learned to do all kinds of non-human things by now to stay alive. Eating their own young, Mercy deaths for the elderly so they won't slow us down......I mean seriously if you are going to think in terms of PURE science and logic things could get really ugly. The idea we can have a good conscience without God is just well.......illogical.
