Catholic people say that “Pope John Paul II actually publicly asked God to forgive the Catholic Church of all the sins committed against other human beings.” Do they not know that he is the same Pope who accepted evolution to be part of gospel truth, even though the book of Genesis says that God created man? He is also the same Pope who gathered 160 leaders of the world’s 12 major religions. Do they know what religions these were? They where not Christian religious leaders. They where Snake Worshipers, Fire Worshipers, Sprites, Animist, Muslins, Hindus, Buddhist, North American Witch Doctors; and John Paul II said on that day “we are all praying to the same god, our prayers are creating a spiritual energy bring about a new climate for peace.” On that day the Pope kissed the Muslim Koran, (a book that denies Jesus as the Son of God,) He allowed his friend the Dalai Lama to replace the cross with a statue of Buddha on the alter of St. Peters Church in Assisi, and for the Dalai Lama and

his monks to perform their Buddhist worship there. The Pope even received the mark of Shiva on his forehead, Shiva is the Hindu god who is called the lord of death, according to the satanic bible Shiva is another word for Satan. Now most of these pagan leaders want to come under the authority of the Pope who is a leader of the ecumenical movement which promotes One World Religion; don’t they know what the bible says about One World Religion? Its ruler will be the anti-Christ and those who follow it have the same mind as the anti-Christ, because they have been deceived by Satan. Don’t they know what God says about praying to Mother Mary who is referred to as the Queen of Heaven? Jeremiah 7:17-18 say: “Do you not see what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? The sons gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven and to pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke Me to anger.” (God

Good Lord this isn't a question it's a rant and you don't even understand what you're ranting about.

He didn't accept evolution as part of the gospel. He said it is possible. You can't say evolution isn't possible because God can do anything he wants. To say he can't do something would be putting limits on a limitless God. Genesis isn't the only biblical reference to creation and they are equally as important. (2 Peter 3:8)

Now I do have problems with the science behind evolution. It's like that saying about how a lie gets more complicated the more you tell it. That's what's happening to evolution.

Catholics unlike other Protestants do not believe that everyone who is not baptized automatically goes to hell. That's just not fair and God is a just God.

The world at this time needs unity among the religious and that was the entire point of having all of those religious leaders. I could care less if the Pope kissed the Koran. It's just as important as the Torah, which is the Jewish Bible which we use as part of our own bible.

The Pope does not represent a one world religion but a significant part of the three major religions of the world. And he was trying to lead by example like the Bible tells us to do.

You sited worship of the queen of heaven. It is ambiguous of which queen and Catholics DO NOT WORSHIP MARY. I know that disappoints some of you out there but we don't. I have never worshipped Mary or the saints. I treat her as the mother of God and my heavenly mother. That's it.

And to the sex scandals, there are more pedophiles in our public school system than there are in the Church. People scream evil at the church but they have even more evil closer to home.

For those of you bringing up Martin Luther, he never meant to break away from the Church. He knew that it wasn't the Church itself was evil. It was the people running the Church who were corrupt. The Church is only an institution and a perfect one at that. People aren't perfect and anything involving people is going to be corrupt somehow. Martin Luther just wanted to change policies that were taking place during his time.

While I disagree with CJ's absolute statement denying that Catholics are Christians, I do know that official Roman Catholic teaching disagrees very much with God's Word the Bible.

There are many things JP 2 did during his lifetime which tends to indicate he was a religionist and didn't really have a relationship with Jesus.

The incident you mentioned is just one of many.

I was raised in a very Apostate Lutheran church. Martin Luther was kicked out of the Roman Catholic Church and Leo X wanted Luther killed, because the Roman Catholic Church was, at that time extremely corrupt and apostate.

I left the Lutheran Church as a young man soon after getting home from Vietnam, because I had come to the conclusion that the Lutheran Church of today is also Apostate.

If the Lutheran Church was Apostate 35 years ago, it is much more Apostate today.

Likewise if the Roman Catholic Churchwas Apostate in the days of Martin Luther, it is much more Apostate and Corrupt today than it was then.

The sex scandal of recent years in the Roman Catholic Church and the cover up done by church officials which went on unchecked for 40 years, proves how Apostate and Corrupt the Roman Catholic Church still is.

If I was President Bush, I'd demand Cardinal Law be returned to the USA to stand trial for being an accessory to rape just like this Warren Jeffs was tried and convicted in Utah last week.

And if the Pope told me Cardinal Law was a Citizen of the Holy See and not subject to US Laws, I'd tell the Pope, cut the bull and send him back.

And I'd send in the Marines or perhaps some Navy Seals to kidnap him if that's what it took.

Cardinal Law of Boston is a criminal and he belongs in jail just like Warren Jeffs.

The sexual abuse scandal in the US is one of the many proofs that the Roman Catholic Church is Apostate and perhaps even more corrupt today than it was in the time of Martin Luther.

When a religion, due to its official poliicy or its refusal to discipline its clergy abuses children the church leaders who don't put a stop to it ought to go to jail along with the clergy who actually abused the children.

Glenda I cannot even as a Catholic disagree with the facts you have presented and I too was not pleased with these actions of the late Pope,of course all of these events do not come under the infallibility of the Pope(thank God) but nevertheless are quite disturbing, it seems that John Paul II had his own vision of bringing about world peace and may well have become an obsession as He got older and running out of time.
Still for me these incidents were insulting to the spirit of Catholicism, the worst for me was the gathering of religious leaders at Assisi and kissing the Koran.

The Pope wants peace and to let everyone know....We all worship the same God. The Koran accepts the bible. The Bible accepts the Torah. And the torah was the first book of God. I dont know where you got the rest of your info...But they look like they were from the internet!!! Dont let it misguide you...if there are more than 15 sites that believe the same thing, then it is 90% true.

Gee, I dunno. Do you think Martin Luther, the founder of Protestantism, made up with God for teaching his followers to massacre Jews, round them up into the synagogues and burn them alive wherever they are found? He taught this both in person in his sermons AND in his papers he wrote and distributed such as "The Jews and Their Lies" which you can find online and read, if you like.

Until very recently both Catholics AND Protestants, after Easter and Christmas church services, would go out and terrorise Jews, drag them from their homes, children included, and kill them, often by stripping the skin from their bodies or burning them alive.

Seems like it's a larger matter than which leader did what. Seems to be more like a problem that is intrinsic to the Christian psyche and soul, found in both Protestants and Catholics.

Better work on that.

Catholics are not saved Christians, there is no "pope" in the Bible, and "pope" John Paul II is in hell eternally for believing the false gospel of the catholic cult.
