Thank you for all the many of you who are on here that will say a pray for the 19th of this month.

I am just worried if they find blockages. I have a 15 old son.
I am a single mom and need extra prayers.

I believe in prayers and the more you have the better a person is.

Thank all of you for the prayers.

God Bless you.

Are you all content with the way this section is (you know what I'm talking about), or do you ever wish it was more of a Theological discussion section. Something along the thought processes of when they do Religious subjects on the History Channel.

I don't frequent this one as often as I do others (but I did today), and I was just curious what the regulars thought.

How would you change it? And don't say kick certain people off, try to accomidate everyone.

The bible does refer to God as a "He" but the idea exists in the modern world anyway. Does anyone know the originals of this idea when it happened, or even who thought of it or where?

Why do Most..not all people ignore and look down on the homeless? I'm a homeless man, who is at the end of the line...and ready to give up on life, my pain is so great, and i suffer everyday, praying to God that he will guide me out of this hole. I'm not a drinker, or drug user, i look everyday for work, and shelter. I have gone to the two small churches in my area...and have gotten little help. I have lost all of my small family ( mom cancer, brother killed by drunk driver) have no friends and have noone that cares about me.
Please pray for me, and pray that God will guide me...and ease the pain im in. And if you ever have the chance to help a homeless person, please think about what it is like to have nothing and no one...and do your best to help them. And for those who are saying..."homeless and on a computer"...i'm at a library...the only place i can have shelter and peace for a few hours a day. God bless you all.

I have read a brief story of St.Valentine. There is nothing to state for lovers. It is religious and there is no woman character except that he had given eyes to a girl by praying to God. I like to know about this.

for new testament class, i have to write a few pages on a passage i don't understand and i chose Matthew 4:5-7. i have questions that i need answers for so i can write my essay. here they are, please answer to the best of your ability =]

Verse 5:
1. Which city is the "holy city" referred to here?/ 2. What is the name of the temple that is referred to here?

Verse 6:
1. What does the devil mean by "throw yourself down"?/ 2. What does the quotes from Psalm 91:11-16 mean, and why does the devil use it in this situation?

other questions:
1. Why does God not want us to put him to the test, and what are some scriputure verses (from both the old& new testament) that back this up?/ 2. Why was the devil trying to get Jesus to test the Lord?/ 3. Why did the devil continue tempting Jesus? Did the devil not know that Jesus wouldn't fall into sin?

thank you for your answers! =]

In her speech, Griffin said that "a lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus."

Why is it ok for Christians to thank God and Jesus for their good fortune, but Non Christians are not allowed their own opinion.

What are everyone's thoughts on this? Is it Ok to be censored just because you're obviously not a Christian?

I am just asking how many different beliefs we have in here.
Just a few short sentences on what you believe.
You can name your church you, or the type of church you go to.
This is not a question only for Christians, I am asking every one, because I would like to know how many different Beliefs we have in R & S.

"It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure." - Albert Einstein Do you agree with Einstein's views on this matter?

the other day i was talking to the Lord and saying "what do i need to do? what do you want me to do?" cause things are not going right as far as jobs. this song came on right after i was through praying and the first words were " FALLING ON MY KNEES IN WORSHIP, GIVING ALL I HAVE TO SEEK YOUR FACE", the first thing that came to my mind was, i havent been giving Him all of me lately. all i been doing was looking at the moment and worrying. and playing on this stupid computer when i could have been seeking Him. i tell you before being on r&s it was ALL bout Him. my priorities was getting backwards. now i give God His time and if there is any left over then ill play a moment on this. before anything smart being said, i do look for a job, i even let go of pride to fill out applications where i say i wouldnt work.

I am 20 and have never really gone to church. I believe in God. I have decided to start going to church regularly and thoughts of baptisms came to mind. I understand the ceremony, but would it be recognized by only that religion or as long as it was a Christian denomination it would be recognized by other Christian denominations? Would I have to take a test or something before I could be baptized because of my age? Would I have to be confirmed, I’m not even sure if that is something Christians do? If it helps I’m thinking mostly about Lutherans.
