I need the pros and cons for this debate.. I've been assigned to defend the "No" parents do not harm their children when they do this, but I don't agree with this so im having trouble finding info to help my stance. Any info, suggestions, etc would be greatly appreciated. But i would also like some "yes" it harms them points so i can find rebutals to them too. Thanks!

Personally, I don't think so. I think everybody has some kind of god or gods. It's just that the god(s) that materialists worship is far less holy than the God of the Bible (the one and only true God).

Maybe Mosses made a typo, I don't know. But the word sons, as in PLURAL, of God bothers me. What you're take on it?

An object that is both a circle and a square simultaneously is a contradiction and cannot exist. We can know this purely through logic. We don't need to search the universe.

However, I CANNOT prove that a unicorn does not exist. It's description is not self-contradictory. It is a theoretically possible object.

In 1968 and 1969, an easily-photographable apparition of the Virgin Mary appeared almost nightly atop the Coptic Orthodox Church in Zeitoun, Egypt -- a suburb of Cairo. Thousands of photos were taken, and up to 250,000 people/night were eye-witnesses.

To the best of my knowledge, NO messages were given to anyone.

In the USA, the American news media totally IGNORED this amazing and monumental event! The blackout on that story was ABSOLUTE in this country!

Here's the quote, which was addressed to children. Post your guess. 10 points goes to the first person who guesses correctly. Answer will be revealed later today.

(P.S. Non-Christians also welcomed to guess, but the person being quoted is a well-known Christian, so you might not recognize it)

"Friendship with Jesus is such a beautiful gift that you cannot keep it to yourselves! Those who receive this gift feel the need to give it to others; and in this way the shared gift does not diminish but multiplies! Keep to this path! You are growing up and soon you will become adolescents and young people. Do not lose your missionary spirit. Always keep your faith pure and genuine..."

OK- Im trying (deliberately) to keep this simple. If evolution is true-walk me through the evolution of a woodpecker.... Knowing the biology of that bird-the first time it hit its head on the tree, they all would have died (thus-no woodpeckers).....OR a Giraffe-whose blood pressure has to immediately adjust when it lifts or lowers its head (its head would "blow up" otherwise)....there are several such creatures that "shouldnt" exist if evolution is true. Please (seriously) can someone walk me through how one of these animals would have evolved ???

I recently discovered a similar question in which someone asked which of these was the most evil, and decided to ask the opposite question. The best answer will look at all 5 religions according to historical events and beliefs, and will maintain an outsider's point of view researching and commenting on all 5 religions not just one.

Question removed?? Its OK for a Christians to ask why we "poor" Atheists/agnostic whatever but wow forget about asking in return, you turn us in and report us and have our questions removed and you say that you are not trying to cover anything?

Not all of you are, but there was a great question yesterday called

"do you pity the poor brain washed christian cultist?"

I WON that question and it was removed because a blatty whiney Christian who cannot take other's views has to complain. IF we respect YOUR right to your views, then you should respect OUR right to OURS as well. Tole

Removing his questions just shows how Christians influenced Yahoo is and is not open to fair debates and discussion.

I can see removing a question if they are being Mean, Rude but if they are asking a question with out that why report them just because it goes against YOUR beliefs does not mean it goes against another's. You don't see the Atheist and Agnostics reporting the Christians for abuse of questions

I here it said and I read it all to often, that God is like the wind.

"You can feel the wind but you can't see it.
We can prove that wind and air exist and god is like the air."

I already posted this as a response but wanted some feedback......
If evolution is true....why are there still monkey's....shouldnt they be human by now-all would have evolved together right? Were is the transitional fossil evidence by the way....even evolutionists admit this area is severely lacking...Darwin new it too.

Oh, and - EVERYTHING in life is on a downward trend towards destruction (build a house-immediatly begins deterioration process; baby is born-immediatly begins to die-same w/ plants/trees/etc)....if evolution is TRUE-that would be the ONLY process that improves/or gets better over time.....??? Makes no sense....thats why its just a "THEORY" ....right???

Not to be rude but don't you have something better to do than argue with people that you call "delusional", "gullible" and who believe in "fairy tales"?
What's the point? We have our faith and our desire to grow spiritually. You have.....nothing ( in terms of religion and belief in God). I mean I'd understand if some of you were just curious and wanted to know about our respective religions but the majority of you don't. " God does not exist, you uneducated fools" is hardly grounds for constructive debate.
Soooooo......I think the chemistry section may be in need of some questions and answers....
