Question removed?? Its OK for a Christians to ask why we "poor" Atheists/agnostic whatever but wow forget about asking in return, you turn us in and report us and have our questions removed and you say that you are not trying to cover anything?

Not all of you are, but there was a great question yesterday called

"do you pity the poor brain washed christian cultist?"

I WON that question and it was removed because a blatty whiney Christian who cannot take other's views has to complain. IF we respect YOUR right to your views, then you should respect OUR right to OURS as well. Tole

Removing his questions just shows how Christians influenced Yahoo is and is not open to fair debates and discussion.

I can see removing a question if they are being Mean, Rude but if they are asking a question with out that why report them just because it goes against YOUR beliefs does not mean it goes against another's. You don't see the Atheist and Agnostics reporting the Christians for abuse of questions

IT WASN'T my question. I won the question. I do not say offensive things, I respect all faiths or non faiths. i am only curious why it was removed? It was not my question though.

Yes his wording may have been, but I have seen the reverse both ways and those do not get removed? It is as offensive to the atheist when you say you pity them etc. They do not report you do they? You are all not getting the point, but not a surprise from ignorance. Someone with intellect please answer thanks. Someone NOT brainwashed lol.

I respect all faiths and non faiths. i think every one has a right to question, and yes maybe their wording is not always great but it is still a question deserving an answer. Only those who are blind cannot answer it this seems.

So basically you all think it is not OK to question unless it is you doing the questioning? What a crock of BS. We all have a right to question. This is not about if their is or is not a god, this is about a person's right to ask questions. You leave no room for others that do not believe what you do, that makes you all HYPOCRITES. Most agnostics and atheists have open minds, only fanatics are exreme and stupid. Do not be like they are.

I understand where you are coming from but there are extremists in all camps

Just as bad as each other

I have respect for all beliefs It's a persons right to choose for themselves My record in here will prove that I hope

I can learn from You in the same way I learn from others It's only when it gets seriously out of hand would I consider hitting the button

I should add It wasn't me who hit the button on that question mind

We may need to keep in mind what may seem offensive to one section of the community may be common everyday language to others

I'm getting tired of this. You do realize that it isn't the people who report things who remove the questions, right? If the question is removed, it's because the mods felt it violated the ToS for the board. It is quite possible for a question to be reported and NOT be removed. I'll grant you, at least it used to be that you got a violation notice just because you were reported, even if the reason for the report was ludicrous and it was dismissed instantly. Still, action is not taken unless the mods feel it's warranted.

Please - stop whining about generic unnamed "Christians" getting your precious questions removed or your accounts banned. All they do is direct the mods attention to questions. If, in their opinion, you have done nothing wrong, then nothing will happen.

If you really don't understand why a question like "do you pity the poor brain washed christian cultist" is offensive and inappropriate and mean and rude, then there's really not a lot of hope of explaining it to you.

There's a difference between disagreeing and insulting, and that question falls so far on the "insulting" side of the line that it's not even questionable.

There's a difference between people disagreeing (namely atheists) and downright slander of Christianity.

It sounds like you are one of those to blaspheme the Living Word. Please give it a rest. You aren't going to influence Christians to give up their eternal position with Christ.

"do you pity the poor brain washed christian cultist?"

You consider THAT a "great" question?! Get a clue, dear friend, you're out on left field with that opine!

Rick,

Not everyone who claims to be a Christian is,
and even those who really are can make mistakes.

I personally ignore questions like that and move on.

Come on, fellow believers! Jesus warned us it would be like this. They will treat us the same way they treated Him. What an honor!

God bless you.

The question itself was rude, condescending, name calling and downright childish.

Your answer might have been none of the above, but the question itself deserved removal on the basis of being highly inflammatory and baiting.

Your original question was worded offensively because not all people believe your premise that chistians are brain washed or that christians are cultists. Maybe if you worded it " If christians are brainwashed and If christians are cultists, then would you have pity on them?" then someone wouldn't have taken offense?

Possibly because this is a board for religion. Not atheists trying to call Christians dumb for brain washed.

That question was mean and rude. This board is for discussions on religion and spirituality, not insults
