It's amazing, isn't it? Jesus told his followers to be humble, loving, and compassionate, and to do unto others. Yet most Christians I've known are more interested in mocking, sneering, and judging those who are different. They even judge EACH OTHER! They're a big part of the reason I walked away from Christianity. They're here on this site every single day.
The funny thing is, I know atheists and agnostics who act more Christ-like than many Christians I've known in my life.

I assume they all do. If they treat someone as less then human, I will in turn treat them the same way. It is, after all, what they state in their beliefs that "treat others as you want to be treated". So I can't do anything but think that if a person treats another like asshole, then they want to be treated like one. ^_^
But as for the one's I know personally, the treat everyone with respect, they don't mock other people's beliefs or put people down because of them... I would have to say the majority are like that. We just tend to get most the assholes on here (probably because people in real life will no longer put up with their crap)

I'm a Christian and I strive to treat others as I would want to be treated regardless of their religion. Just because they don't believe like me does not give me the right to treat them bad or talk bad about them. Now, if we can get ALL christians to behave this way, we would be doing great!

I have been told by some that they do, because if they were sinners they would want to be treated horribly until they realized the error of their ways and converted.
This is a flat-out lie and I call anyone who says it a liar. If they were really non-Christians they would want to be treated with respect and compassion.

I treat everyone but other Christians the way I want to be treated. I find that when other Christians are involved my tolerance and my patience dramatically decrease.

*sigh* Contrary to what appears to be the consensus around here, Christians are not all identically the same. Some do, some don't - just like some non-Christians are intelligent, well mannered and respectful of others and others are not.

Some of them are very respectful of my faith and even curious on the philosophies.
Some of them are not.
