Atheists especially will accept any twisted teaching that helps it to save face - anything that makes the soul feel good about itself and that supports and sustains prideful wickedness with a sense of goodness.

Does that described you Atheists ?

What say you all?

If I go to confession with genuine contrition and repentance but afterwards still cannot recieve the eucharist because of cohabitation (civil marriage) should I be going to confession in the first place.
Please no Catholic bashing or protestant theological arguments. This question is really for other Catholics.

My girlfriend and I put our relationship in God. However, we "manipulate" each other's sex organs. No oral nor does my junk ever touch her besides her hand. Is this wrong? I don't feel wrong when doing do it. I don't get that guilty feeling either. I'm just wondering and it doesn't say anything about this in the Bible

I gotta tell ya, the wit and the wisecracks that come out of atheists, agnostics and all the other non-Abrahamic religionolics is as sharp as a needle! The jokes are outrageously hilarious! No, I mean it! Check them out. Some of the best humour on R&S come from those they call "the unbelievers."

Good on ya! But am I just being biased? Why do you think we possess more of the "funnies?"

If there is a paradise, then one thing is certain: your monks will not be able to enjoy it there. What will they enjoy? The whole of their life they were denouncing women, condemning women, and there they will find beautiful callgirls. They will be so nervous that many of them will have heart attacks.

I am expecting an answer like "because God spoke to the Jews in the Old Testament in a special way that they didn't realize."

Then how do you know God isn't speaking to the atheists at present in a special way?

Anyway, I'm not even BAPTIZED!!!!!! It's been 4 years since my first set of elders....yeah, four...1 2 3 4 years...They keep telling me to be a missionary though lol. And no, it's not because they're desperate. I am getting baptized sept. 18....yeah I'm 18 and I'm not even baptized...

if you do, should you? think about it. kids getting sacrificed in the name of God. people going to war because of God. whole systems of truth being denied eg. science, for fear of disobeying God, these things in my opinion hold us back as a society, and shouldn't be accepted so quickly just because they come under the name of "religion". so do you accept other religions no matter how different they are to your own, or do you set limits on what you're willing to accept?

I have just reverted to islam and I don't know how to tell my parents. Ok I have been wrapping my head and stuff, but I don't think that they are for sure. I know I should tell them. And I know that Allah will help me too, but any suggestions on how to break it out on them.
Thank you for all your inputs.

My 666th answer was to a question about Adam and Eve, and someone asking if we were all decendents of them. (I'm a christian, so i said yes.)

I'm gonna go think about this, ha. Kind of scary though if you're a christian.

Also, i've never even noticed that there was an answer counter before i saw that. I just kind of saw it right here right now.

Does this mean that i should change my ways, and that i'm heading for hell? Like, a message from God?

I've seen many believers' attacks on atheist, but they were defeated severely.....poor them. I wouldn't do such act like that.
Was that because you attack them first? and they considered it as a counter attack?

believer.

If there is a God that created us, originally wanted us to live forever on Earth and never die, is almighty in the universe and nothing can stop anything he wants to accomplish...what ever happened to his plans?

I mean, what kind of spiritual or philosophical teaching do you give them? The morals and virtues you teach them are based on what? Why be a good girl and a good boy? What kind of reward or consequence for not being good? Last, how do you answer your child's question about death, God, and other spiritual topics?

I would think the high percentage of divorce, the ever rising rate of couples living together outside marriage, and the large number of extramarital affairs would have destroyed any sanctity marriage had left.

What is the LDS perspective on sacrament, and is it necessary that one in good standing, receives it every Sunday? Is it a "closed-communion"? Are you to abstain from partaking in certain instances? I would love a little in-depth info on it. Thanks!
