If so, post a link to your video. If you've posted a response in defense of your faith, post a link to that, too. I've spent a long time looking at videos on YT and I find this VERY interesting... and I wish I had a camera. LOL!

"Despite the distortions of anti-Witnesses, throughout their modern history Jehovah's Witnesses have refused to claim divine inspiration or infallibility for their teachings. They have pointed to the bible (and not any particular translation) as the only inspired infallible means of knowing God's thoughts. For over 125 years, their teachings have been presented as merely the results of sincere bible research by imperfect but godly humans."
Here the WBTS claims to be the prophet of God......Both Watchtower articles claim opposing facts......
"In 1972 the Jehovah's Witness Watchtower claimed to be the prophet of God."
"IDENTIFYING THE "PROPHET" -- "So does Jehovah have a prophet to help them, to warn them of dangers and to declare things to come? These questions can be answered in the affirmative. Who is this prophet?...

Think of all of the otherwise good people out there who have done horrible things in the name of religion. These people really thought what they were doing was moral and right, but they were supremely deluded. Every Christian I know loves virtue and peace and love itself, but because of a few verses in their book, and greedy politicizing religious leaders, they can do so much evil in this world. They have so much faith in their book, that they will condemn others (although they say they don't), even when they have NO IDEA what it's like to be other people and undergo the struggles that other people have. Sigh, I really need to go to sleep. Anyway, does anyone else feel this way? BTW I know I'm generalizing, if you happen to be one of the more enlightened Christians, this doesn't apply to you. =)

PLEASE answer this as truthfully as possible. if you knew god did not exist would you carry on as a moral person, or would you place personal benefits over your own moral behavior

A Witch once went to a bar, a drop-dead gorgeous girl, and got severely hammered. Once it was time to go, a man at the counter offered to drive her home. To which she commented, "You just want into my dress, or you really want to bring me home... either way... I have a broom that'll do both for me."

It takes guts to laugh at yourself, even your own religion. So, I'm inviting R&S tonight to laugh at their religion, or lack there of. Post a joke that makes fun of your own religion or lacking of it.

Person who make a joke at their own religion and gets the most votes wins.

Please do not post any material cruel to other religions or lacking of other religions.

This is just to try to make us all laugh at ourselves. I don't know how many of you are comfortable with it, but, I guess we'll find out!

out of ignorance, and pride, I have offended so many people in the whole world, with several of the answers that I foolishly answered on here without regards to Gods word. I speak before I think, and that is just dead wrong. I don't deserve anyones forgiveness, but I hope that all of you on here and any and everyone in the world that i have offended may see it in your heart to forgive me, it is not my position to judge anyone anywhere, for I'm no better than anyone else in this world, I'm sorry for my ignorance and actions of offensiveness, also in the course of this letter I'm asking God almighty for forgiveness. all of the brothers and sisters in Christ, pray for me as I need your prayers and Gods love and forgiveness. to sinners and unbelievers, I ask that you please understand I'm no better than you and ask that you please forgive me for the things that I have said to you that where hurtful. I am asking this of my own accord not because of any actions against me from yahoo answers

I just want to know just how true (or false) this notion is.

Additional question.

If it IS true, then can anyone tell me what are their thoughts on the following things.

First off, Moses lived around 3,000 B.C. so of COURSE the records for that time period are going to be spotty at best.

People say why isn't there a record for all the plagues that visited Egypt and a record of Jews being held as slaves in Egypt and the first born sons being killed?

Egypt did not like recording stuff that made it look bad and many of the records were written on clay tablets that did not last.

When you consider all these facts and the fact that Moses lived around 3,000 B.C. (just look it up it's only 500 years after writing was invented and hundreds of miles away from where writing originated) it's no suprise that we do not have complete records, but we do have the most important record of all.

We have the Bible.

Agree?

This new discovery confirms that honey was indeed cultivated in the region 3000 years ago:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070905/ap_on_sc/ancient_honey

From a Biblical perspective, this means that the region was the 'land of milk and honey', because those who were there prior to the Hebrew had made it that way, not because God had made it that way.

The question is, from a Biblical perspective, now that we know the people who live in that land prior to the Hebrews had cultivated it and improved upon it with their own sweat, does that not make the purported genocides within the Bible by the Hebrews against these people that much more immoral?

non-biblical texts called him Bin Pandera (sp) which translates literally, bastard son of Miriam (considered a prostitute in this passage)

do not just say myth or something like that. Scholars don't disagree he existed, but many refuse to believe he rose from the dead.

i'm asking for meaningful discussion. the resurrection is the only central point about Jesus that if not true, destroys christianity totally. Nothing Jesus said matters if he is still in the grave

first of all, this argument supports an ANTHROPOMORPHIC interpretation of God, not the kind atheists mock, white beard, white robe and all.

According to the law of thermodynamics, a spontaneous reaction in a closed space would increase the amount of entropy in that space. From this, we can imply that the amount of energy AVAILABLE TO DO WORK, is decreased due to increase in thermal energy. Therefore, the beginning of the universe had to have been at a definite time and place. that's not it, dont start yelling yet. As we all know, molecules react in a way that allows them to reach homeostasis. From that we can imply that the big bang occured because the molecules (actually, matter would be a more accurate discription) seeked homeostasis. But what caused the matter to be in such an unstable state in the first place?please, i just thought of this, i know its not perfect, I just want your imput. Please no sarcasm, I am a free thinker and if you have enough logic, I will believe you.TY
