The great thing about having free choice and a human brain is that you can learn, think, and reason. --And you can follow one religion while being interested in, appreciating, learning about, and taking what you think is the best of the best from other religions and philosophies.
I was born Catholic, became interested in Universalism and this led me to become a Vedantist. Within the 25 years of studying and practicing Vedanta, I've formally studied yoga philosophies and esoterica, other Hindu philosophies, Sikhism, and Buddhism--and I never considered that I "stopped" being Catholic either. In fact, I'm now studying esoteric Christianity and Kabala.
There is no thought police. Expand your mind and your soul with follow.

You have control over your life, but none of us can control what happens after death. I would not dwell on it. All religions teach the same ethics so I would try to live in a spiritual way in the here and now. Some references would be books by Thich Nhat Hanh who was close friends with Thomas Merton, a Catholic monk. He has written Living Buddha Living Christ and some other books about the spiritual similarities of Buddhist and Christian practice.
Find a Buddhist practice group with a good teacher near you and ask questions. That would be my best answer. There is also a pretty extensive Buddhist forum at e-sangha.com
I believe we all have our destiny and if Buddhism is attractive to a person, there is a reason for it. Don't waste your human life.
Peace be with you.

whats up, im a muslim, and we even have faith in jesus, Jesus has an quite specific place in islam because of the fact of his beginning, yet we dont have faith he's the son of god, he's a prophet like each the different prophets, we have faith god does not have any sons, daughters or mothers and fathers. God is purely one and to have little infants or mothers and fathers could eliminate his oneness, and God being one and not being related to something is the inspiration of our faith. And with regard to the contidictions...there are no longer any contridictions contained in the Quran, if something seems to be a contridiction, that is because of the fact teh Quran replaced into revealed over some years, it didnt take a million day, and specific issues have been pronounced in diverse context. My mum replaced right into a christian and grew to alter into muslim while she replaced into 21. She examine the Quran after she examine all the different holy books and in basic terms discovered preparation contained in the Quran...I pray which you will locate the preparation in islam.

ok you asked this question so I have to answer from the bottom of my heart.
You have 2 choices here that is obvious, but what might not be as obvious are these observations- let's look at them for a moment -
1- Christianity is about God reaching down to man, through His Son Jesus
2- Even though I do not know much about the religion of Buddhism I do know that it is more about man seeking something. Is Budda , God? Has he given His life for you and has He risen from the dead? IN other words, in Christianity we serve a risen Lord, in Buddhism a man, who is no longer alive
3- Reincarnation does not exist, but let's say that it did , for the sake of this question- how many lives would you have to live before you reach the state of nirvana?
4- The truth in God's Word says, It is appointed once for a man to die, and after that the judgement.
5- In reincarnation, if there was such a thing, life would always continue to be stressful and hard-
6- In heaven all pain and suffering and sin ceases to be.
To me it is not a hard decision. God reached down to me and found me, and loved me enough to send Jesus to die for me, and then He rose from the dead so that i could have victory over my sin- that should answer anyones question. Hope this helped a little bit.

If there is a God, he doesn't care what religion you are. Just being a good person makes him happy. Before a thousand different religious sects started dictating our beliefs, our God concept was much easier. In any scripture, God has never mentioned the word "Religion". Even a combination of both is right in the eyes of God, but not right in the eyes of the religion business.

The choice is of course yours, but a choice is a blind choice if one does not understand the options available.
To me, one will not find truth by accepting what is taught by others without investigation. And most religions consist of teachings only.
So, do not choose hastily, choose one which you yourself can testify to its truth. That takes time and patience.
I chose Buddhism because the Buddha did not just preach his experience. His methods allow us to experience the truth ourselves. To me, one of the most useful ways of finding out the truth is through insight meditation (vipassana) which does not involve any prayers, contemplations or recitations of sutras. It is an exercise to calm our mind by being a mere observer of the mind activities, and finally see the true nature of it. I recommend that you try it as there is nothing religious about it.

Take time by yourself to think this out. Study both the Bible and... whatever Buddhism has. Ask God or whoever Buddhists ask/pray to. If you really seek, God isn't gonna push you away.
Only you can decide, it's your life... for now (cause I'm christian and i've given it to God).

You can believe whatever you want. You should not have to choose. After all, bother might be right. You might keep reincarnateing until the end of times (I personally believe this).

The choice is only yours to make, what suits you? Trust your instincts, but don't do anything on a whim. ("Astral Projection might sound cool...but you don't have to be any particular religion for that.....)
