science isn't about facts, its about trying to account what we observe by making the least possible assumptions. that is, it's a process.
as for evolution in action, even fox news (!) reported on the well-known "as it happens" observations with galapagos finches
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,203374,00.html
for most of us, evolution seems to account for an awful lot of otherwise mystifying observations. evolution being (1) reproduction (2) but not exact copies (3) some copies being better suited to the environment they find themselves in (and so more successful in reproducing)

When there is enough supporting evidence, and enough experts independently come to the same conclusion, and are in agreement, a scientific theory essentially becomes a fact.
There are many events that have taken place on Earth that we can't reproduce because of the time scales required. Petroleum is the result of organic matter that decayed underground for millions of years. We didn't see this happen, and we can't reproduce the process, be we can extract the results from the ground, the same way we excavate fossils that show evolution occurred.

Recreated by domestic breading, we've been doing genetic evolution experiments for centuries. Just how long do you think it'll be before dog species start to become species in their own right? The mountain of evidence is piled so high it would be intimidating to attempt to give you much on Y!A. Just go get a very little education and you'll understand. This is what happens when people posture and form opinions about things they know nothing about whatsoever.

if science shows evolution is right , to sucessfully create the right condition for human to be form through the theory of evolutions would take millions to billions of year.
now , do you have the patience or time to watch this happen ? no you don't , and thus , science cannot prove this to happen to anyone in this life time or the next 10 life time.
one also must know that there might be some factors affecting evolutions that people didnt know , for example there might be a comet bring life form from other planets or solar system that kick start evolution.
there are experiment that shows that basic building form can be formed from non living chemicals / elements.
current experiment will take about 3 ~ 7 years to show if it is possible to create life out of non-living things

ever hear of the galapogos islands? most of the species there have traits that the same species in other parts of the world do not have...like certain birds that can dive deep into water & actually swim, reptiles that can adapt to certain types of salt water/fresh water, etc.
the discovery channel had a great series on the islands & their inhabitants that explained how a lot of them evolved.
as for how - the same way viruses become immune to certain drugs. the drug kills 99% of the population, but the 1% that was a "mutant" is immune, so that 1% breeds/reproduces & creates a new strain that is immune. evolution at work.
it's not like you can recreate something that takes place over generations...well, maybe with fruit flies or something that lives for a day...
The Planet Earth series on tv showed a lizard that had lived in caves deep underground for so long that it basically stopped reproducing offspring with eyes. their eyes were of so little use that they stopped growing in fetuses.

What rock did you crawl from under Christian ?
I have a little something that not even God had anything to do
with and that is the Evolution of the Shark? Now if "you" can prove me wrong about this then i will give it all up and believe in GOD ! But you have to have more evidence than
just here say, also how did Noah find two of every species to
put on his ARC,and where were the fish tanks, remembering
that sharks have to swim ALL THE TIME to live if they
stop they die !Don't forget either that during the time of your lord, the sharks were bigger than the ARC and were Dinosaur eaters,so where now is the CREATION factor.

Evolution is proven simply by looking at DNA.
The building blocks of all life are DNA.
Simply look at the DNA of a worm, look at the DNA of a bird, look at the DNA of a flower. Then look at the DNA of a human and you will have seen evolution firsthand.
The similarity between humans and mammals is so obvious it is hard for me to believe that anyone still thinks that humans are somehow something different than an animal.

they are talking about Biological evolution. and it is observed every year.
you need a new flu shot this year because the virus is immune to the one you had last year. it has evolved.
Human evolution is a scientific theory that has plenty of evidence to support it. but due to the lack of a fossil record for a period of a hundred thousand years or so it is hard to piece together. (that record is missing for every species. the planet simply did not have the right conditions for the creation of fossils then.

A theory is what ties all the facts together. All you have to do is google evolution and you can find web sites that lay out all the evidence in ample detail.
Evolution is universally accepted in the scientific community. Do you honestly think the scientific community hasn't thought it through?

Let me guess you'll talk about facts like the law of gravity, atomic structure, and black holes, but evolution will always be a theory. Science is theory, that is what it has always been, the best theory is what we call fact.
